BBBEEEAAAUUUTTTIIIFFFUUULLLL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
AWESOME! I really like the Dolphin / sea turtle the most , you captured the undersea world perfectly with that one.
But, tell me seventh in the world and third in quick carve? what exactlly do these judges look for in chainsaw comps?
Thanks Gus, for posting the great

wow!
congrats on your win Cherie!
Thanks everyone with your wondeful comment's.
The quick carves work like this:
You have 75 minutes to complete a piece, start to finish each day of the comp. Then they are auctioned off to the highest bidder. It's how much money they bring in which places you for that day. Again there are two catagories, pro and semi pro. When I placed second in Reedsport, I brought the second highest bid in for that day.
The main pieces are judged by a panel of pro carvers and artists who rate in catagories and give points 1 through 10. Hope this helps! And BTW.. my main piece will be for sale when it's sealed.
Love you all,
Cherie
ps. Don't let the photo's fool you. My main piece is around eight feel tall and I needed a scafold to carve it. xoxoxox

Congratulations again on your recent accomplishments.
I hear that Echo has a competition in Quincey, Illinois in October (I think), Any chance of you doing that one?

"Carving On The Mississippi" will be held in Quincy, Illinois, from October 7-9. I belive Bob King is scheduled to participate. It is about 1 1/2 hour drive from the beanfield, We may try to go and say hello and see what we can see.
