I just got home and I've come back a winner again!!! I placed in the top ten,, seventh in the world they say, semi pro. I was up against so many carvers!!!! I even competed against the man who taught me to carve. He didn't place!! I also took a metal for quick carve, placed third in that catagory for that day.
I will send Gus pic's of the winning piece.

Cherie - My dear - I can't even explain in words how impressed with your Dolphin I am. It is really a beautiful piece of artwork. Even as I write this I am envisioning it in my backyard as the centerpiece of my garden.
I asked for a sea turtle and there it is! I am so thrilled. I really want to visit your studio sometime.

I went searching for photos from the Westport competition and was very disappointed to find that all of the websites that talked about it, none had photos.
I searched Echo, and Bob King, and found some interesting photos, but nothing that was up to date.
I noticed in the background of the photo of Cherie's dolphin, a few other sculptures. One looks like a person riding upon the back of a whale, I also noticed another dolphin too.
