I just picked up the October issue of SPIN magazine, which is the 1977 Punk explosion issue.
there's an article called "The 30 Essential Punk Albums Of 1977". As I glanced through the article I noticed how many of them that I own.
Listed between Richard H ell & the Voidoids and the Saints were the Runaways - Queens of Noise.
<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">The Runaways were panned on arrival...But their second album is more than Hot pants and go-go boots. It's a snapshot of the decadent L.A. proto punk scene that spawned them, bolstered by strutting glam-metal riffs and a sneering attitude Courtney Love and Pink owe no small debt to.
Thanks a lot Rog!
Kudos to Spin!
I gotta get that issue, immediately, if not sooner!!
