Hey everyone-
I have a great update!

As you all know, we have been working closely with Sandy's family for charity eandeavors and establishing the SANDY WEST FOUNDATION.

Sandy's foundation currently endows specific charities/causes. We raised over $3,000 for the Citrus Valley Hospice, and we are working with the second recipient- The Rock and Roll Camp for Girls.
http://www.girlsrockcamp.org/

The camp has established the SANDY WEST MEMORIAL DRUM SCHOLARSHIP and will be auctioning off items from the Memorial concert in December for the cause.
These auctions will be on EBay and starting on the 15th of May.
We will post the links when the auctions go live.

Up for auction is:

22' Drum Heads donated by our friends @ REMO that are signed by:
The Runaways (Cherie Currie and Vicki Blue),
Lita Ford Band (Dusty Watson),
Precious Metal (Leslie Knauer, Mara Fox),
Kanary (Leslie Knauer, Mary Kay, Tony Matteucci),
Ian Mitchell Band / Bay City Rollers (Ian Mitchell, Craig Elise, Johnny
Lust),
Rhino Bucket (Georg Dolivo, Reeve Downes, Brian Forsythe),
The Knack (Prescott Niles),
The Binges (Mayuko Okai),
Athens (Jake Hays),
Sandy West Band (Lauren Varga, Katie Varga)

A Cymbal donated by our friends @ SABINE
Autographed by Carmine Appice, Vinny Appice,
Dian Katz, Cherie Currie, Ian Mitchell, and Prescott Niles. Comes with the drum sheet that lists the drum progressions for the drum was segment by Carmine and Vinny Appice. Its amazing to look at the notes by such incredible drummers! Carmine Appice played in Vanilla Fudge and with such names as Ozzy Osbourne, and Jeff Beck. Vinny is best known for his work with Black Sabbath.
Big THANK YOU to Rebecca Schuster!

Daisy Rock Guitar
Wow, Daisy Rock and The Bangles went above and Beyond.
It's gorgeous, it's pink, and it's signed by the Bangles.
BIG THANK YOU TO RICH LACKOWSKI AND THE BANGLES!

If you want to donate to the Rock Camp-if you put SANDY WEST SCHOLARSHIP on your check or the paypal notes, your money will only go to that scholarship.

Sandy would be so pleased, I hear that they already have a BIG poster of her up in the drum room!

Again, and BIG thanks to all the sponsors, and to the Bangles!

Hello my cheeky little monkeys!
Started today are two more auctions of donated merchandise from The Sandy West Memorial Tribute concert to benefit the Rock Camp for Girls.

I want to extend a special thanks to REMO, SABINE and Rebecca Shuster for helping with these fantastic donations!

These were signed at the show-Chrys and I personally oversaw the signatures, (well, not just that! LOL!)

This is a great cause, and it is totally about keeping Sandy's legacy alive!

Please pass this info along on the other boards out there!Remo DrumheadSabine Cymbal

That is all.

Dang, those eBay links can be a pain in the dairy air!

I tried to fix them last night but couldn't, so here is a link to the same topic on the official Runaways board, where the links do work!

Good luck!

Just checked these.
The Cymbal auction has ended with the cymbal fetching $202.50!
Congrats to the winner!

The drum head auction still has 4 days to go!

Good luck!

File under: Spooky weirdness!

I thought it seemed odd that the drum head auction hadn't ended, at the same time as the cymbal auction.
Apparently I was seeing an old page because, come to find out, that auction has also ended.
Some kind of eBay glitch, I guess!

Anyway, the lucky winner, got that cool drum head, with all those autographs, for a little over $60.00!

I believe she will be posting photos of her new collector's items, one of these here days!

Hope so!
