Cherie's memoirs have been optioned TWICE for film now.
If this happens, what actresses would you envision playing each of the Runaways?
I have my own suggestions, but want to see what you all think first!
On a side note, if someone were to do a film on YOUR life, who would you envision playing YOU?

Casting Call!
I love this question Jordon, and reposted it in the Femme Fetale folder too.
It's rough casting people who have so much natural charisma with actors who may not have as much as the originals, don't you think?
I envision Neve Campbell doing a pretty convincing young Joan Jett. (Did anyone see that film where she had the red streaks in her hair and played a punky chick opposite Kevin Bacon & Matt Dillon?)
I've heard some unsubstantiated rumors that both Angelina Jolie & Courtney Love would be interested in playing Cherie on film. Courtney is WAY too old, she's around the same age as Cherie is now and I can't see her playing Cherie at 16...plus Cherie is infinitely classier. My choice for Cherie would be someone like Ashley Judd (blonde and sexy, as she appeared in that weird underground Brendan Frasier film "Darkly Noon"). I could imagine Courtney as Lita Ford though.
Sandy West was so sweet and baby-faced back then, maybe that girl who plays "Buffy"? Sarah Michelle Gellar? Nah, not agressive enough. What do you think?
The best Kim Fowley would be this amazing character actor named...grrrr, I can't remember his name. He played "Frank Nitty" in Costner's "Untouchables" film and has a recurring role on WB's "Charmed" as an evil wizard of some sort....he's done TONS of films and is a lot more handsome than Mr Fowley in real life, but has the ability to look really menacing. (just looked it up, his name is Billy Drago)
As for me? I am definitely the Tom Cruise type (ha ha) and expect to be featured prominently!

I think Mia Hamm would make a good Joan Jett. Too bad she's not an actress.
I can't think of ANYONE to play Cherie who wouldn't be a total disappointment. No one's BEAUTIFUL enough.

so, joe rocketmaster dude, you're saying Lita isn't classy? don't forget, there are Lita Ford fans AND Courtney Love fans visiting this board. maybe not a lot, but we're here. don't offend us.
*Liv Tyler = young jett;
*Alicia Silverstone = young Lita;
*Bridget Fonda = young Cherie;
*Samantha Mathis = young jackie
*Angelina Jolie = older jett;
*Alicia Silverstone = older Lita;
*Marie currie = older cherie;
*Neve Campbell = older jackie

DD, you enjoy always posting the nastiest things, don't you? My point about Lita was because she's a lot edgier, gnarlier in the attitude department, that Courtney has the ability to pull off that kind of attitude.
If you choose to take that as fighting words, so be it.

Who cares this is a Cherie Currie board not a Courtney Love board. I consider Cunty Love to be a ripp off of all the greats (Cherie, Debbie, Exene, etc.,) I have no respect for her. Nor should I have to pretend to like her on a CHERIE CURRIE BOARD.
Thank you!

Interesting, DevilsDaughter, that someone who describes him/herself in his/her profile as "occupation: starfucker" and writes such sarcastic posts could be so easily 'offended'! Sheesh, lighten up, this is supposed to be FUN!

Why couldn't Cherie play Cherie? She's as beautiful today as she ever was!
