I remember as a teenager seeing in the early 80s in a used record store's basement, among the thousands of vinyl was a Cherie (& Marie ?) 12" Single.
I had no idea who she was back then, and wasn't going to buy it simply because she was gorgeous (I was busy hunting down Bowie, AC DC and Alice Cooper).
I remember it was a cover song, and fairly sure it was for "Whole Lotta Love". It may also have said "Disco Mix" on the cover, and maybe the same song on both sides.
There is absolutely no info I can find on the internet.
Any help out there on this? Anyone seen a copy for sale, or can upload it?

Hello Les and welcome to the board. I thought I'd heard of everything Cherie has ever released but that is a new one on me.
The only 12" single I have (or know of) is a promo single for THIS TIME/Say Hello. The A-side is Cherie and Marie. The B-side is by April Wine.
There is no cover. It's in a plain white jacket.
I wonder if what you saw was some kind of home-made deal???
Maybe someone else can help. I'd like to know if there is something like that out there, somewhere!
Later,
Gus

I know Lita Ford recorded a cover version of Whole Lotta Love for a Japanese only Led Zeppelin tribute CD some years ago.
