C'mon over to California Paradise...a friendly hangout for Runaways fans!

It won't be long now.
Sure wish I could go!
Ol Sparky
I'm really tempted to make the drive.
Ladies & Gentlemen.....
Sorry to rain on your parade but perhaps Cherie & Co. are better off not going to Chiller anymore....
Me and My Friends are no longer going to attend CHILLER THEATRE
Let us explain....
Reportedly, Kevin Clement the head of Chiller has sold off a large portion of his controlling interest to some nameless corporate entity and they have really F**KED things over....
He did this to pay off some large debts incurred from past shows...
People like myself are now getting VERY DISGUSTED over the way the Advanced Tickets/General Admission/Lines are being handled....
After speaking with several of the Chiller Staff who me and my Lady Friend have known and shared a drink or two at the Chiller Shows, it is no longer a fun show to work and several of them have expressed the desire to no longer work or associate with Chiller...
Several other Chiller Staffers are now taking 'Our S**t does'nt stink attitudes towards other Staffers and "It's our way or the Highway" as well...
In fact one Staffer was made to leave the Fall 2008 Show after he WAS ASSAULTED by an attendee who refused to leave an Autograph Line for actress Linda Hamilton after being told the line was cut off because get this...He used his hands to prevent said jerk from attempting to assault him again...
We were told by our Chiller contacts that said Staffer had attended Chiller for nearly 20 years and worked there for 10 years with no problems, incidents, or any complaints from guests like Cherie or attendees...
I'm not a Lawyer but if someone tries to place his hands on me or my Lady in anger, he/she is going to have some serious damage done before the Cops come and take him/her away...
Not to mention several fellow attendees/Chiller Staffers have told me that Chiller uses Off Duty Parsippany P.D. as a personal muscle force to remove attendees and even Guests they deem "disruptive, questionable in behavior, or pose a potential problem" This directive also comes from the Staff of The Parsippany Hilton who want to keep their oh so purile surroundings "proper"
Seems someone forget to tell the Parsippany's 'Finest" that such actions are in violation of the US Constitution and are deemed profiling but then again those in the know state Parsipanny's "Finest" are the best Police Force $$$$ Can buy...(nudge nudge, wink wink, hint, hint)
Quite a change from the days when Chiller Security handled such problems on their own and the Cops were rarely called...
Chiller has also changed from featuring guests like Cherie, Sybil Danning, Michael Madsden, and switched over to big name guests like Ann Margaret, Tony Curtis, and Val Kilmer who treated many attendees quite rudely and even caused Former Porn Star SEKA to erupt into a tirade of profanity when he made an insulting reply to her request to take a photo with him...
So if Cherie & Co. want to do Chiller, they should be warned that it's no longer the friendly and fun show thanks to Kevin Clement's inability to run his own affairs properly...
But if you really want to attend a Fun and Friendly Show....then check out
MONSTER MANIA
Which is run by a former Associate of Kevin Clement who knows what a show should be like and treats the attendees like valued friends....
Thanks for letting me vent Cherie & Co. I know we sound like people with a huge crate of Sour Grapes but more and more people, fans. and just plain folks are starting to voice the same opinions...
Well, it's truly a shame if it's gone downhill but I guess all things must pass.
Even this message board is a shadow of it's former self!
Hopefully, both Hostboard and Chiller will somehow find their way back to their once vibrant ways!
C'mon over to California Paradise...a friendly hangout for Runaways fans!

Dangerman: Another thing that has a lot of Chiller Attendees and Former Chiller Attendees Pi**ed off is that Chiller Theatre blows its horn that such Guests as Burt Reynolds. Richard Dreyfuss, and Eric Roberts are going to be attending and sells a lot of tickets for that reason and then ....THEY SUDDENLY CANCEL OUT !!!
THE OLD CHILLER MASCOT
THE NEW CHILLER MASCOT
Here are the reasons that Chiller Management gave....
- Burt Reynolds has to reschedule to the April show due to a medical emergency!-(10/20)
- Patty Duke, William Schallert, David Ellefson, Dennis Cole, and Chyna have all rescheduled for April's show! - (10/18)
- Richard Dreyfuss, Lou Gossett Jr. & John Glover had to cancel their appearance. -(10/14)
The biggest draw cancels only 4 DAYS before the show?
Funny, We did not hear of any "medical emergency" concerning Burt Reynolds on TMZ or any Media Outlet before the October 2008 Show
Did Chiller make fans wait outside in the COLD October RAIN Saturday from @1130am until 4pm because the Fire Marshall found Chiller BREAKING THE LAW?
Yes.
Did many of the guests start to try to charge their fans HUGE, ADDITIONAL, fees to take a pic with the fans OWN camera, even if said fan bought a signed item from the guest? And did many fans **** about it?
Yes.
Was the convention unorganized and some of the staff obnoxious and rude?
Yes....
Chiller made the fans wait outside in the rain for 5 hours... and then again for about and additonal 1 or 2 hours to get their wristbands)....
And I want to state that we met Cherie Currie at the June 2006 Show along with her son Jake Hayes thanks in part to the Chiller Staffer named Jim who is now reportedly banned from Chiller because he had the nerve to defend himself from the attempted assault from the above mentioned creep who threw a fit because he could'nt see Linda Hamilton....
We were late in leaving PA on the Saturday portion of the Show due to our work schedules and getting caught in traffic on Route 80 arriving at the Crowne Plaza at 4:45pm....
We asked Jim if where Cherie after getting our tickets was and he politely escorted us up to Cherie's table and introduced us to her and we bought a autographed photo and she signed my Lady's vintage Runaway's LP and we found her to be very warm and fan friendly....
Plus we heard she had recent surgery for a leg problem and still managed to make it to Chiller while the star attraction Steven Seagal cancelled out due to "health problems"
So Chiller was fun while it lasted before Mr. Clement and his new found corporate buddies managed to ruin it for everyone.....
I'd also like to ask Mr. Clement and the Chiller Management the following questions...
- Why are such well known and popular Chiller Staffers like Rick Sullivan, 42nd Street Pete, Cowboy, and Jim no longer around and when people ask what happened to them they are treated in a manner that would do Josef Stalin proud and told to mind their own business ? Speaking of Stalin it seems more and more Chiller Staffers tend to "disappear" quietly just like during Stalin's purges with every show....
- Why are popular vendors like Mike Weldon, Steve Puchalski, Andy Gore, Brittan, and others suddenly missing from the dealers room with no proper explanation given ?
- Why is Chiller Theatre which makes a big fuss over the behavior of its staff and attendees allowing a former staffer named Shawn McLaughlin who reportedly has a criminal record which includes P.O.D, Shoplifting, and Aggravated Assault and spent time in resorts run by the Counties of Bergen and Hudson for said offenses ? (PROVE US WRONG ON THAT ONE KEVIN IF YOU DARE !!! BECAUSE WE HAVE FRIENDS IN NJ & PA LAW ENFORCEMENT THAT CAN BACK US UP !!!)
This above information was given to me by a current Chiller Staffer who asked that we refrain from identifying her since she is one of the growing number of Staffers disgusted over the regime change and the the way Chiller is being run....
Chiller is just another series of Fan run groups that start off bright and promising and then starts to decay due to mismanagement, incomptence, and childish behavior...
It just goes to prove as the late Edward R. Murrow opined regarding The Beatles and their screeching fans....
"Replace one letter in the word Fun and you get Fan".....
Chiller Theatre is dead.....Long Live Chiller Theatre
Latest report from the Chiller Front....
Actress P.J. Soles (Carrie, Rock & Roll High School) has been BANNED from doing any further Chiller Shows because.....
Wait for it....
She Attended MONSTER MANIA and incurred the wrath of the Chiller Regime....
Gee last time I witnessed such behavior was back in High School when you were ordered to avoid talking to or associating with certain people to remain in a clique....
Pathetic....
First of all I we just want to thank Bob C aka Secret Six for coming forward and supporting me due to the problems I had with CHILLER and the fact we have been banned by the now corporate powers that be that Kevin Clement and Company have merged with....
Not to mention having one of the most Corrupt, Racist, and Shady Police Forces in NJ (Parsippany P.D.) at their beck and call....(The American Civil Liberties Union and Various Civil Rights Groups can back me up on that....)
Many people in the past have warned me to watch my back with Kevin and his crew but I laughed them off only to find out the hard way.....
Now the latest insult to Chiller Vendors....
Time for another Tea Party !!!!
Attention VENDORS!!
NJ STATE TAXES!!
All Chiller Theatre Vendors MUST
register with the State of New Jersey
Tax Department, and, have their Tax Certificate with Tax ID Number on display at the Chiller Convention.
Do not panic - THIS CAN BE DONE ON LINE and the Tax Certificate can be downloaded and printed out.
It is easy. CLICK HERE AND FOLLOW DIRECTIONS.
Those not in compliance will face a stiff fine and other dire consequences, because the New Jersey Tax Authority agents will be at the Show in full force.
Thank you for your cooperation!!
Aw Isn't that just decent....Chiller Theatre is making it easy for the vendors to be fleeced by The Tax Thugs hovering like vultures at the upcoming show....
So if Cherie decides to come for a future show and wants to sell some of her/Jakes CD's or the reprint of her NEON ANGELS Book and she does'nt have a Lil Ole NJ Tax Form those Jackboots from Trenton will haul her into the County Slam...
Not only does Chiller now overcharge vendors for a single Hilton Table that was probably cast off by a Local Church, they're now going to sic the Taxman on some folks that just want to make a few $$$ to pay their Mortgage and Bills in these tough times....
Face it Cherie, Gus, Fellow Runaways Fans and Americans all.....
Chiller Theatre is no longer the fun, fan friendly show we remember.....
Perhaps Mr. Clement and his fellow money grubbing pals should remember the following....
"Our properties within our own territories [should not] be taxed or regulated by any power on earth but our own." --Thomas Jefferson

Well said again Jimbo.....
As of last report Chiller Theatre went off as scheduled during 10/30-11/1 but the following occured....
- Friday and Saturday were hectic and marked by overcrowding and the lack of Trained Staff to handle these problems...
- Out of State Vendors complained repeatedly to Chiller Staff about being harassed by the NJ State Tax Officials and asked to address their concerns to Kevin Clement. They were refused and told he was too busy....Yet Kevin had time to sit by idly with other staff members during the Halloween Weekend and engage in meaningless chatter...As a result MANY said vendors stated this would be the LAST Chiller Theatre they would attend...
- Chiller attendees complained about the high prices charged by guests for autographs and Ann-Margret reportedly had a no personal photos policy in effect even if the attendees offered to pay extra....
- Sunday was marked by a lack of crowds and was completely dead after 12 Noon which is very unusual since crowds are of average size that day....
- And the ever vigiliant and "professional" Parsippany P.D. stood by hitting on underaged female attendees and collecting overtime on the Taxpayers dime....
One other thing I'd like to ask is this.....
When one asks Kevin or any other Chiller Staffer when Cherie is coming back, they are told Guests are spaced out in the schedule to avoid overkill yet Lita Ford was scheduled for a reappearance less than 1 year after her Halloween 2008 appearance....
Hmmmmmm
Thanks Once Again Bob.....
BTW Look At What A Couple Of My Pals In The Legal Field Found.....
Parsippany cop wants $2.5M from dept.
ROB JENNINGS • STAFF WRITER • November 3, 2009
A 23-year Parsippany police officer filed a notice of claim Monday against the police department outlining $2.5 million in potential damages.
Detective Sgt. Joseph Mongiello charges he "has been retaliated against and subjected to disparate treatment, harassment and a hostile work environment," including the denial of a promotion and an Internal Affairs Investigation, due to his association with police union officials and advocacy for a no-confidence vote against Chief Michael Peckerman.
Mongiello, in his claim notice, lists the town, police department, Peckerman, Mayor Michael Luther and Personnel Director Hank Sunyak as potential defendants.

Parsippany officer is 'cashing out' sick, vacation days
By Rick Everett
August 26, 2009,
A Parsippany police officer will head into his retirement with a generous payout from the township.Lt. Edward Wall will be paid $363,415 during the next two-and-one-half years for the sick, personal and vacation days he did not use in his 28-year career, said Jasmine Lim, business administrator for the township.
As of July 31, the date of his retirement, Wall had accumulated 192 sick, 311 vacation and 50 personal days. His retirement payments began Aug. 1.
Wall, whose final salary with the department was $136,689, is currently on terminal leave, and technically still on the Parsippany payroll. The sick, vacation and personal day payments will begin on Jan. 1, 2010, although they will be reduced by the 88 days remaining in 2009.
Wall is among the dwindling number of Parsippany officers who can receive payouts from unlimited sick and vacation days accrued before 1999.

And this from an African American Male who was subject to the following.....
Sad but true.
I used to live in Parsippany until last year.
Walking through strip malls and having to suffer Parsippany Cops following me just because I'm Black describes the Parsippany Police pretty well.
We got out because of them.
The Mayor doesn't care.
Neither did the Police chief. I doubt any new chief will care either.
Heaven help the citizens of Parsippany!
