I was standing in line to pay for gas when on elderly lady in front of me was upset that this new cigarette tax was put in effect. The cashier calmly said, "Well you can thank Obama for that." To which she replied, "I didn't vote for him for THAT!" Several others tried not to laugh out loud, but the snickers were there.

Hey, that's great Janet! I don't agree with the price of cigarettes, these days but if it helps people quit, I guess it IS a blessing, in a roundabout sort of unfair and ridiculous way!
I was in the store today and they had a "special price" on Marlboros. $6.80 + tax.
I remember thinking that was too much to pay for a carton back when I was quitting!
