THE BEST

ALMOST FAMOUS (2000) Cameron Crowe's whimsical and nostalgic Rock Fueled Voyage based on his real life adventures. We join Russell Hammond's voyage of discovery with a band called Stillwater with the guidance of Band-Aid Penny Lane (Kate Hudson) accompanied by a great performance from Frances McDormand as Russell's progressive yet Rock Hating Mom and a great soundtrack...

BORAT (2006) Sasha Baron Cohen is a piss your pants funny ambush film that exposes the hidden and humorous sides that we try to keep under wraps. The faux scenes with Pamela Anderson is a classic...

THE MOTHMAN PROPHECIES (2002) Richard Gere and Laura Linney in this moody and dark Chiller based on true events that happened in Point Pleasant, WV during 1967 climaxing in a terrifying ending.

SHAUN OF THE DEAD (2004) Black Adder Meets George A. Romero....We see our put upon British Everyman Shaun trying to straighten out his life, win back his girl Liz, make peace with his Stepfather, put up with his slacker mate Ed, and try to prevent murdering Liz's annoying friends during a Zombie onslaught on London...

shaun of the dead.

HOT FUZZ(2007) Simon Pegg and Nick Frost fresh from their success on Shaun essay this tale of a Anal to the Max London PC sent to Stanford to keep things right in a village irritatingly perfect but with one little catch....Climaxing in a gun battle that would give the most die hard Peckinpaugh/Tarantino fan a wet dream....

PIRATE RADIO (2009) TITANIC meets ALMOST FAMOUS and with a great soundtrack as well !

KILL BILL 1&2 (2003/4) A Quentin Tarantino Classic....Uma Thurman plays the Bride on a mission of vengeance to kill all the members of her former Assasination Team who tried to murder her during her wedding and reclaim her young daughter from the clutches of her ex-Lover Bill (The Late David Carradine). Uma is kick ass in this film especially when she wipes out Lucy Liu and her Crazy 88 Japanese Army. Featuring great performances from Michael Madsen and Sid Haig as well

inglourious basterds

INGLORIOUS BASTERDS (2009) Tarantino knocks another out of the park after KB 1&2 with this remake of the 1978 Italian War Movie. Lt. Aldo Raine (Brad Pitt) puts together a Unit with 8 Jewish American GI's sent in before D-DAY to wreak havouc and kill as many Krauts as they can culminating in an assault upon a Paris Movie Theatre to attempt to wipe out Hitler and the Nazi High Command. Throw in Christolph Waltz as the smarmy and classy SS Colonel Hans Landa who could torture you and make you enjoy it with his charm and bookended by the Sweet Babes Melanie Laurent and Diane Kruger and you have a great film.

Sound Good ???? YES SIR !!!!

BEND IT LIKE BECKHAM (2002) Keira Knightley and Parminder Nagra in this coming of age film from the UK shine on. Parminder plays the daughter of uptight Sikh Parents rebelling against their authority and joining a Girls Football team and finding her own identity with the help of Team Mate Knightley and her Irish Coach. Great Film and better than any Disney Pap from this decade.

FEVER PITCH (2005) Ironically filmed during the season when the Boston Red Sox humiliated the NY Yankmees in 2004 and went on to win the World Series. Drew Barrymore and Jimmy Fallon play Lovers from opposite ends who manage to stay together despite Fallon's love of the Sawx. Corny but enjoyable and since I'm a Red Sox fan I thought it was great !

JAY AND SILENT BOB STRIKE BACK (2001) Jason Mewes and Kevin Smith return as the Slacker Duo going across America to Hollywood since The comic 'Bluntman and Chronic' is based on so when they get no profit from a big-screen adaptation they set out to wreck the movie and encounter C.L.I.T, a weird George Carlin, Mark Hamill as the villianous **** Knocker and rescue an orangutan from a Med Lab....The finale features all the beloved characters from Kevin Smiths previous films and a rocking tune from Morris Day and The Time...

FROM HELL (2001) Johnny Depp and Heather Graham in a remake of Murder By Decree (1978) with Depp as a British Police Inspector trying to solve the Jack The Ripper murders in 1888 London with Graham as a Tart attempting to help him. Moody. atmospheric, and gory in the right places plus Robby Coltrane as Depp's faithful but suffering partner.

CLERKS 2 (2006) Brian O'Halloran and Jeff Anderson return as Dante and Randall from the classic CLERKS movie working at a Fast Food Joint after their Leonardo, NJ Businesses burn down. Also along for the ride is Rosario Dawson as Dante's Manager and Sweet Gal, Jason Mewes and Kevin Smith as Jay & Silent Bob, and Zak Knutson as Kinky Kelly...The scene where Randall makes a LOTR Dweeb puke in the middle of an argument is priceless....

ZOMBIELAND (2009) - Small Budget B-Movie but well acted and well done with Woody Harrelson, Jesse Eisenberg, and Bill Murray in wet your pants funny scenes.

THE WORST

JUNO (2007) Ellen Page plays the whiny and spoiled brat Juno MacGuff who lets her dweebish boyfriend Bleeker knock her up and spends the rest of the movie treating her pregnancy like its a viral infection. Boring, overrated, and I wished to God Juno's Dad would've worked over Bleeker with a tire iron and her Step Mom kick her ass all over the street and send her off to a Finnish Boarding School...

X-FILES: I WANT TO BELIEVE (2008) The steam ran out of the Beloved 1990's Sci Fi Show that even co stars Dean Haglund (LANGLY) and William B. Davis (CSM) disowned. A pathetic ripoff of THE BRAIN THAT WOULD'NT DIE and aggravated by lackluster performances from David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson which includies a fake two headed dog....

SEX AND THE CITY (2008) Carrie and her annoying friends return to haunt us and whine on how tepid their sexual performances have become and how lame their men have become in bed. Gee maybe its because they're getting older and need to slow down. Not to mention remembering they're supposed to be mature adults with families and should concentrate on keeping a proper home instead of acting like laughable cougars....

I AM LEGEND (2007) Will Smith is a good actor and tries to do well but this film makes me pine for THE OMEGA MAN which was more static and better acted. Lame ending and filled with mistakes and laughable errors.....

BRUNO (2009) Sasha Baron Cohen tries to recreate the humour in Borat with another character from his Ali G Show that starts off ok but tends to drag out the laughs.

THE DA VINCI CODE (2006)The Book was better and Tom Hanks is miscast and his hair is so queer...nuff said !
