I think someone mentioned somewhere about Cherie and the group Y&T doing something together. Can someone tell me which song(s) or albums?

Also, what were Cherie's solo releases on PolyGram and Capitol and are they still available?

    Thanx

    Hi Jonathan,
I'll have to check on the specifics of Cherie's Y&T experience. All I know right now is that is was at the time when they were still calling themselves Yesterday & Today, so it must have been an early recording.

If you're seeking appearances she's made on other people's records, that's going to be a tough list to compile...(ANYONE GOT ONE?)...she's probably appeared on over 100 assorted releases over the years. We have two such appearances available on our site (Precious Metal, and the Street Walkin' Cheetahs)

Cherie's first solo LP was on Polygram, entitled "Beauty's Only Skin Deep". As far as I know, it has never been re-released on CD, though not for lack of trying, Polygram simply refused to license the LP out, but hopefully that will change soon. Vinyl copies pop up on a regular basis on the auction sites, like Ebay.

Cherie's second recording was with Capitol Records...an album she did with her twin sister Marie, entitled "Cherie & Marie Currie - Messin' With The Boys". This LP HAS been re-released by Renaissance Records. The CD version contains 7 additional tracks not included on the original, plus a collectors booklet filled with 12 pages of gorgeous pix of Cherie & Marie including the original album cover and 45 cover. This release is readily available in stores and on internet record shops, and from us on our merchandising page AUTOGRAPHED! Go to: http://www.rocketcityrecords.com/cgi...=catalog1.html

    Thanks,
    Joe

I believe Cherie does back up vocals on two songs on the second Yesterday And Today LP titled "Struck Down". the songs she sings on are "Road" and "Tried To Show You". I think the LP's from 1978, and it did get released on CD in Japan a while back.
