...and it was so amazing. my best friend/bandmate and i went to this show excited to see cherie...whom we idolize..but we did not realize she would be doing runaways songs. when she launched into "california paradise" we freaked out! we were both born in the late 70's so never had a chance to see the runaways when they were around. it was a total dream come true and we are still thrilled about it. i still can't quite find the words to describe how awesome the show was. she still has all the moves. anyway if anyone is interested in a runaways-inspired band (mine) check out http://themishap.virtualave.net.
over and out.

Yeah - we had quite the time. Cherie was super nice... I didn't wanna overwhelm her with my stories of how the Runaways changed my life. And her book, which gave me the insight to get my band out of a sticky situation with a sleazy manager type when I was 16.
She definitely didn't disappiont and to see her sing the Runaways songs and her raw emotion up there - I almost shed a tear. It was certainly the most exciting show I've ever been to - even above seeing KISS reunite in their make-up.

ps - yes omid we were to the side of the stage. we were wearing ties and occasionally sqeauling like a couple of teenyboppers at an N Sync show.
were you next to us? at one point we were right next to the divine theo, if that helps.
and yeah..we were in SHOCK.

Still floating from the experience. We had a show the night after Don Hill's and Liz and I were propelled through the show - still inspired. And it turned out to be our best show yet - and it also turned out to be the show we recorded for our EP.
Cherie's sincerity about being happy to be there and her obvious respect for the other members really touched me. (verclempt....) tawk amongst yourselves!
