Hi Cherie,

Brand new here, just finished listening to the Runaways 1st album again, on a lark decided to see if you had a web site. Hurray for the Internet! I bought your album the first week it was out. I was 16 too, and the DJs were leering about your upcoming show, "FIVE 16- and 17-year-old GIRLS!" So I bought it despite the fact that my friends and I were all into Pink Floyd, Jethro Tull, Doobies, Steely Dan, Yes, Edgar Winter--you know, "serious music". I snuck it home and turned a few of my buddies onto Cherry Bomb and You Drive Me Wild...they dug it in spite of themselves.

Happy belated birthday to you and your twin Marie, whom I didn't know about until today and who is, if I may say so, as beautiful as you (no surprise there, I guess). It's good to see what a success you've made of your life, especially given what happens with so many other teenage runaways. I think your music has very likely encouraged some of them to do likewise, to attempt achievement. Joan Jett enjoyed a lot of stardom, but man she could never sing like you.

Now to go and check out some of your other music. Great photos on the site, too BTW. Just wanted to check in and say "hi" and thanks for a quarter century of guilty pleasures from half a lifetime ago. Yeah!

No, it was about the time of The Runaways first LP, it just sort of came out one day, in a botanically enhanced state of creativity at the old manual typewriter. (Fff--I may as well have been carving it in a piece of stone with a tyrannosaur tooth.) I still have the page with it on there, for some odd reason; I was just waiting for Al to invent the Internet so I could use it. Hey, you asked.

G'day to you in Australia, DeeJay. I just love that we can gather from all over the world online and kick around common interests, like great music, great people (and evidently great clothes too).
