Lisa Douglas was a fish out of water 4 sure! Her hotcakes must have been awful. Substituted as a manifold gasket in one episode!
I like when she was trying to learn to drive.
I still call my shift indicater a Pernandle [PRNDL] and get many funny looks because of it.
Having to climb the pole to answer the phone. The unfinished closet door in their bedroom. Etc, etc!
Is it any wonder Mr. Douglas was always so mad!
Just talking to Hank Kimball in and of itself was a "chore" and a half!
That show was very well cast IMO with lots of very colorful characters.
More later,

Many moons ago some braves left their tribe to start own tribe. They took
families on long journey over mountain and through wood.
There leader then said, "where the heck are we?"
That was how the HEKOWEE tribe got their name according to Crazy Cat.
I loved F-Troop and would watch them re-runs if they were showing them
on my cable but they ain't.
Captain Parmenter was in command of one zany bunch there at Fort Courage, 4 sure!
Anybody else like that show?

How bout the Sid & Marty Kroft shows??
I think watching those kinda warped my senses.
H.R. Puf-n-Stuff, Electra Woman and Dyna Girl, Lidsville with Charles Nelson Reilly, which had to be the mo-fo'ing tripeed-out weirdest show in the world, Dr. Shrinker, Lost Saucer with Ruth Buzzi and Jim Nabors.
Mighty Isis was great too - we used to play Oh Mighty Isis at the bus stop and spin around and chase each other.
Does anyone remember The New Zoo Review?? - that was pretty messed up too.
Love to watch Boomerang network on cable and see all the great old cartoons like Josie & The Pussycats, El-Kabong, Wacky Races, etc.
God, those were the days.......
And then fate stepped in in the year 1976 and impressionable young master George discovered (gasp)....The Runaways

You are right EllaNoise. Dragnet reruns are great comedy!
KamakazeeLover fate has a way of doing that. Stepping in and all!
Not too familiar with the shows you mentioned except of coarse for H.R. Puf-n-Stuff!!!!!
Mork and Mindy was an odd one IMO. The first season was excellant, cutting edge comedy but by the next season it was dull and ordinary. Maybe they got new writers or something.
The funniest sitcom of all time has to be 'Fawlty Towers' with John Cleese.
If you have never experienced this show you have no idea what you were missing.

John Cleese did a Helluva Goose Step...
Some of the skits in the Benny Hill show deserve
an Honorable Mention, especially him being chased
around all the time by the girls
Ala (pre)Austin Powers...Don't ya think ?
Yeah Baby...Yeah !!

Benny Hill!!!!Yeah baaaaaaby!
I loved it when Cleese goose stepped while poking fun at "The Germans" on Fawlty Towers and his famous "silly walk" on Python had certain goose steppish aspects to it IMO!
Did you see him when he guested on Cheers as a world reknowned psychiatrist. He was on vacation and Diane (and Sam) repeatedly forced themselves on him for pre-marriage counseling which only made him madder and madder (his specialty) until he was "blue in the face" and angrily shouting a bunch of 10 syllable words as only he can do it!!
He got an Emmy for that performance too.
I still haven't seen that (non)sequel to A Fish Called Wanda yet.
Must add that to my to do list!
Later folks. There's something I Need to watch on TV Land right now!
Bye,
