I just came across a freigh train of a "live" disc. I will place it in some heavy company with "THE WHO LIVE AT LEEDS & THE J.GEILS BAND FULL HOUSE". The disc is "THE RUNAWAYS MARCH 10 1977 AGORA BALLROOM CLEVELAND. It is rock solid and powerful.
When you see the hyped up gimmick bands of today and turn the clock back to the Runaways, you hear young women writing, playing and rocking!Thier work ethic must have been crazy to get that sound being young novice muscicians at the time. When you read the old critics term them "Jail Bait Rock" and listen to this explosion of energy my question is "what were the critics smoking?"
I know everyone has opinions and the critics are not any different. The rock and roll establishment at the time was not ready for the Runaways.
Can you imagine if they were ready and got th support. Cherie, Joan, Sandy, Jackie & Lita...Thanks for the music.

Hi Charlie,
I agree with you... I can't imagine my life without these wonderful girls. They told me how to make music and love rock'n'roll.
Thanks girls

Hey, find what you like to play and keep hammering out!. Don't be shy about an occasional lesson either. If you build a nice foundation the rock and roll will come easier and remain fun.
On the Joan Jett Site someone has transscribed her songs and they seem pretty easy. Check it out.

Hey Charlie, I checked Joan's site and found some songs really easy... but especially "Bad Reputation" and "Crimson and Clover" (my favourites). It's very cool, now I can drive the neighborhood crazy!!!
