Hey Gus,
Have you seen "Army of Darkness"? Those words are in that movie.
I can't remember where you are quoting them from....drawing a blank!

Hi CCfan
Haven't seen Army Of Darkness! How were the words used in that?
They come from the science fiction classic 'The Day The Earth Stood Still'
The giant alien robot would be activated with those words!
Klaatu the band was thought by many to be the Beatles reunited. Some people still think so!
I met a guy once who said he played on the Hope album and George Harrison was there playing on one of the tracks! I don't think any of it's true!
Catch ya later

Hey Gus,
The words were used in the movie when Bruce Campbell had to retrieve this book to stop the evil. And those were the magic words. He couln't remember the last word, so it woke the dead. It is a horror comedy. Highly recommended!

I love that movie, Army of Darkness! It's part of the Evil Dead Trilogy, but the only humorous one. How about starting a subject on what movies you're renting/buying/watching this week? I've had a big movie weekend myself, rewatching some of my absolute favorites while I'm stuck in the house working.
So far I've watched:
Pillow Talk - starring Doris Day & Rock Hudson
The Money Pit - Tom Hanks
Galaxy Quest - TWICE (thinking of YOU Val!) Alan Rickman!
Virtuosity - Denzel Washington & Russell Crowe (his first US movie and my favorite of his).
Robin Hood - Kevin Costner & Alan Rickman again! (Also his first US flick)
Fight Club - Brad Pitt (It's hysterically funny the second time you watch it, really!)
All of these films have pretty strong soundtracks as well, if anyone actually listens for that.
Well, hope you all have better things to do this weekend than watching movies, have a good one!
Cheers!
Lori L.

Thanks CCfan. I'll keep that title in mind!
Hi Lori L and Charlie C. Good to see you!
Today I'm staying out of the rain. First on the old turntable is Bob Dylan's Blonde On Blonde then maybe something like Blood On The Tracks!
Did you know Bob is covering The Stones 'Brown Sugar' now? I've got to hear that one!
Maybe I'll listen to Sticky Fingers while I'm at it. One of the Stones best albums IMO!
Have a great day of fun and music folks!

Let's see in my cd player, I have
" Live In Japan "
" The Word~ which I just received yesterday! Great song, I love it.
And the newest one that was just released by Joan Jett and The Black [img]graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 's The USA Cd " Lie to Me " is on it also, which is an old time favorite. I forget who said they love that song, but it is a great song. So that's what's in my player right now.

Gus, I am a huge Bob Dylan fan. Your choice's are excellent. Do you have "slow train coming or Infidel's"? It's later Dylan but both great efforts.
Blonde on Blond is such a classic. I love idiot wind from blood on the tracks. It remind's me of my mother in law...Don't tell Mrs. Charlie C.
