Cherie lost a close friend in a motorcycle accident and this poem is for Cherie.

(THE MIRROR OF TIME) by Eric

Only love will move a wave from a broken heart.
Its like finding a way too a better place in time.
Bringing the good from the past and forgetting the rest.
Holding that moment, seeing a face thru-a silk mirror in time.
Looking into it everyday, hoping to see the person from within.
And In the end, we're all a refection of the people we surround ourselves with.
For he will always be remembered. In your heart and everyone's.
And only you hold the brush that painted a picture of freedom for him.

    Love Eric Always ox

Beautiful your words, sorry for Cherie's friend... I have a friend who had a motorcycle accident years ago, he lost an arm, and only lately he begins to thinks he's lucky to be alive, I can't imagine my reaction in such a situation. Many times friends can be a big help, but I myself realized that often in life we are alone with our pain...

    Cherie,
Sorry for the loss of your friend Jim. I know that feeling also. Two years ago Aug 18, I lost my best friend to an accident. Coming home from work, he parked his car off the side of the road because he was tired. Someone hit him from behind and killed him. We used to ride our bikes everywhere together. It was more than just the ride. It was a time to share our hopes and dreams. I still think of my friend everytime I ride. Just know that Jim was doing something that he really enjoyed. Best always

    Cherie,
I am so sorry about the loss of your dear friend Jim. He is in heaven smiling down on you. I have no doubt either that he was with you as you were painting.
Jim is gone in body, but not in spirit and mind. He will shine on through you and his family.
    May God bless you all.

I was worrying about Cherie since I heard she had lost her close friend and decided to make contact to see if she was okay.
I recieved this reply yesterday and she said I could pass it on to you folks!
Yes, we lost our dear friend Jim two weeks ago tomorrow (Sunday) in a
motorcycle accident. To get that news that day was beyond pain. He is the one who let me carve on his land and helped me find the gallery that I now work at.
His family (Lisa, his wife and his son +) called me on Tuesday to say that he would be buried Thursday morning... They then asked if I would do the favor of painting his casket. I didn't think it possible for I only had a day to do it.
The casket was delivered to the mortuary at twelve noon the next day and I went to work in the parking lot.. I finished, without a break at 8pm as the sun set. His service was the next day at ten with over a hundred in attendance.
Jim helped me paint this, I have no doubt. I had to sketch, primer and seal it too within a few hours. It's an honor that he will have my touch forever with him.
I love and miss him so.
<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Cherie sure rose to the occasion and was inspired to create something very very special!
