Reunited '80s Rockers HARLOW To Play This Year's ROCKLAHOMA - Mar. 4, 2008
'80s glam band HARLOW are back together after 15 years and are planning on releasing a new record, "Now and Then", in June on Retrospect Records.
Currently bassist-less, HARLOW has enlisted a few friends to lay down the bass tracks on the new record, including Steve Priest from THE SWEET and Jeff Pilson from DOKKEN, FOREIGNER and DIO. The band has also recruited Cherie Currie from THE RUNAWAYS and new artist Electra to do a few back-up vocals on the CD.

80's glam metal band HARLOW are back together after 15 years with a new record on Retrospect Records. Mickey Kravitz (vocals), Hyland Church(guitar), Mike Rubyor(drums), Matt Cascio(guitar) were signed to Greenworld records in 1986 and released the album " We do what we wanna do" and the single "Rock the box." Retrospect records will be reissuing the first record along with 5 to 6 new songs.
The new CD "Now and Then" should be released by mid June 2008.
In 2005 Cleopatra records re-released the single "Rock the Box" on the box set "Hollywood Rocks" along with other 80's rockers Poison, L.A. guns, Faster Pussycat, Great White, etc.
Harlow is currently bass-less and having a few friends record bass tracks on the new record so far they have Steve Priest from (The Sweet), Jeff Pilson from (Dokken, Foreigner, Dio). The band also has Cherie Currie from (The Runaways) and new artist Electra doing a few back up vocals.
HARLOW will be playing ROCKLAHOMA on July 10th. this year and is planing a contest on a Kansas City, MO radio station to fill the bass player spot. The winner of the contest will join the band HARLOW and play ROCKLAHOMA and any other shows that come up.

The City of Simi Valley's Tree Advisory Board will hold its eighth annual Arbor Day program starting at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 5 at the Veterans Plaza in Rancho Tapo Community Park, 3700 Avenida Simi.
This year's theme is "Trees are Terrific?Inside and Out."
The event will feature a chainsaw wood carving demonstration performed by Cherie Currie's Chainsaw Art Gallery, colored posters by local fifth grade classes who participated in local and national Arbor Day poster contests, a handson educational workshop and more.
The ceremony will also include the planting of cherry trees to posthumously
honor local citizens who donated their time and talents to Simi Valley, including the late Los Angeles Police Officer Mike Selleh and Simi Valley Police Officer Gary Galloway, former City of Simi Valley employees Sam Freed and Brian Medley, and Richard Hlebasko.
Awards will be presented to the winners of the local Arbor Day poster contest.
The event is open to the public. Refreshments will be
available and a limited supply of 15gallon trees and oak seedlings will be distributed to attendees on a first come, first served basis.
Simi Valley is recognized by the National Arbor Foundation as a Tree City USA and Tree Growth Community.

City plans events for Arbor Day Saturday

Simi Valley will hold its eighth annual Arbor Day celebration at 10 a.m. Saturday at Veterans Plaza in Rancho Tapo Community Park.
A highlight of the ceremony will be planting cherry trees to posthumously honor local citizens who gave their time and talents to make Simi Valley a better place, city officials said.
Those who will be honored include late Los Angeles Police Officer Mike Selleh, Simi Valley Police Officer Gary Galloway, former city employees Sam Freed and Brian Medley and Richard Hlebasko, who is credited with initiating Rancho Tapo Veterans Plaza.
"It will be an honor to dedicate the trees to honor those who serve their community," Councilwoman Barbra Williamson said in a statement.
This year's program theme focuses on the National Arbor Day Foundation theme of "Trees are Terrific ... Inside and Out."
