So here's the way I figger it folks.
It's time now for a brand new FAVORITE SONG poll
right here on the Cherie Currie Message Board!
And the FANtastic songs we'll get to choose from are from this CD:
Cherie Currie and Friends...Unplugged in Hollywood!! 1996
This IS one totally FANtastic CD, without a doubt! I'm sure you all agree but hey....why not pick and/or choose one song from it to vote for as YOUR favorite?
Then, of coarse, feel free to chime in about your choice!
A little disc DISCussion anyone?!?!
I'll take the plunge first and say this, I love the whole performance with Cherie and her friends but I'll choose, as MY favorite:
You're So Bad For Me Baby which is a great "acoustic" rocker written by Cherie and her band mates!
Two other songs are tied for second, IMO!
The rousing rendition of Don't Believe In Heaven
and the "vely intelesting" version of Cherry Bomb!
So, what say YOU folks?!?!?

Well, I see Don't Believe In Heaven is 1st off the line and is garnering 50% of the vote!
This really IS a way cool, alternate version, of this totally fabulous Cherie Currie song and the extended jam at the end, here, is unbelievably FANtastic, for sure!
I can see why it's a big time favorite amoungst you folks!
H*lls On Fire (sung by Billy Mumy) is tied with You're So Bad For Me Baby in second place which is cool!
I like both of his songs a lot. He must have been LOST IN SPACE though when he said Cherie looked like Suzanne Crough, of The Partridge Family, playing her tamborine! LOL!
Well, I wonder which song is YOUR favorite!
Howzabout letting me know!

I absolutely vote for DON'T BELIEVE IN HEAVEN, I love that song so much! and apart the Runaways classics on this record, it's great to hear LOVE HURTS sung by Cherie, I knew this song many many years ago on a Cher record titled "Stars": at the time (1975)it didn't have much popularity but I always loved that covers record, and it had my first listening of Love Hurts, which is a Nazareth's song if I'm not wrong. Cher did it again in 1991, a afster version this time. Between the two there has been Joan's version of 1990 from her Hit List cover album, which is the only Joan's record I ever found in Italy in a regular store! This 1996 Cherie's version adds something more and something new again to this beautiful song, because of her beautiful voice....and after all, it's also true, Love Hurts!

Another interesting turn of events. The Way I Feel Tonight by Ian Mitchell
has moved up with H*ll's On Fire and You're So Bad For Me Baby
to make it a 3 way tie for 2nd place!
Don't Believe In Heaven still maintains a comfortable lead
but please keep in mind, these are very early returns.
Anything could happen as time passes
and more people vote for their favorite
"Cherie Currie and Friends...Unplugged in Hollywood" song!

PS Ian was my favorite Bay City Roller!

Hi Cristina,
Thanks for chiming in here and for voting! I can see why you voted for 'Don't Believe In Heaven' because it's a FANtastic song and I love it too. This version in particular ROCKS big time and jams out at the end in a wonderful way.
I also agree that it's GRRREAT to hear Cherie singing 'Love Hurts' which WAS by Nazareth originally!
I never heard Cher's version but I enjoy Joan's on 'The Hit List' which is her easiest CD to find around here too.
Hey, Cherie also performs 'Love Hurts' with The MIX on the newly reissued VIPER ROOM video if you are up for a real thrill!!!
Nice talking to you Cristina!
See ya later,

Thanks Veronica!
When I was a kid I always dreamed of growing up to be an under-assistant west coast promotion man but only if I could promote the acts that I really liked and with normal w*rking hours!(Monday through Friday)
Well in Cherie's case it would be a labor of love, 24/7, eight days a week!!!!

Well, it looks like MY favorite, You're So Bad For Me Baby is now in second place
all by itself while Love Hurts and Cherry Bomb have now moved into third place along with
H*lls On Fire and The Way I Feel Tonight.
Still in the lead is that way cool Cherie Currie song called Don't Believe In Heaven!

Oh, I see Turn Back has moved up now and is tied for third place with the other 4 songs in that current position. (Note previous post)
I believe that's Julie Ragins, sharing vocals with Cherie, on that one!
What a beautiful song it is too!
