<font color=blue>Well, I would have to say a bird, probably because I have a strong bond with my pet birds. Domesticated avian pals are fascinating and smart. They pick up what they hear of the human language and try to fit into OUR flock.

Me, I would have to say a too. I am too very independent,a little shy, I really keep to myself until someone corners me and then the CLAWS come out. - NYJ -

Hey folks in all of the "Mental Menusa" I forgot to divulge my Animal Spirit !
I see myself as a Cheetah (Not the Two-Timing kind)
But rather Fast & Slick & Calculated !
It also keeps me in the family...

Hey Lance!
I've given this matter tons of thought and I believe the best animal for me to be would be a laughing hyena. Any life spent laughing can't be bad! IMO!! I wonder if I could be domesticated though? LOL!
More later,

PS I'm glad you are here too buddy!

I can really understand both the bird and cat choices that have dominated the replies thus far.
A cat is a quietly seductive animal that can be soft and unassuming but simultaneously predatorial and fierce. Not to mention the "Nine Lives" angle in which we as survivors can draw the correlation to !
As far as the Bird Spirit is concerned Val, I see a Wingspread that of the might Osprey or it's prehistoric (larger) cousin the Pterodactyl. Perhaps in retospect we are that of a Phoenix
who though it's own self-immolation rises again in a "re-birth" to take on life's challenges
Your all stars in my book of life !!
May you walk proudly beside your Animal Spirits...

I have both dogs and a cat. I love them both but a dogds life is not bad. You play, eat, sleep no job and run around with no close one. Not a bad life at all. I'd be a labrador in heart beat.
