After some coffee and looking through the music library, I can see differnt periods, feelings, events through my life and the connection some of the music has had.
For example The Who's Quadraphenia as a highschool senior/young adult hit a chord based on the struggles and life and theme of the story.
Currently now a particular song hit's me Soul Shine by the Allman's and Gov't Mule.
Cherie's Jane Doe just for the emotion alone makes it great.
Any one else?

Cool topic Charlie!
All my young life I was required to go to Sunday School and then Communion Classes in the Lutheran tradition. Supposedly I was taught the story of Jesus but I honestly didn't KNOW it until the release of Jesus Christ Superstar (the rock opera).
That is just an example of how music got through to me as a kid.
I can't imagine my life without music in it. The song lyrics are always important to me. What better way to speak ones mind than with a song. Cherie and Mara both write great lyrics, for sure!
Lately I've been listening to Pink's 'Missundahztood' CD. I have a friend going through a rough period right now and some of Pink's lyrics hit so close to home I can't even handle it.
Very powerful stuff!
More later,

I grew up listening to my Daddy sing. Sometimes we would even write songs together. Then, he introduced me to the Runaways (and some other stuff). But what I love and remember the most, is my dad's lovely voice. He even wrote a song for me....
Birds love sky...
Fish love sea....
I love her....
And she loves meeeeee.....
It always makes me smile. That is my inspiration.
