Has anyone else ever noticed that when you have a spot on your nose other people seem to think that you're blind to the fact? "Hey Paul, you've got a big spot on your nose," I keep getting told. "Thanks very much," I say, "I hadn't noticed it shouting and waving at me from the bathroom mirror this morning." What am I doing getting spots at my age anyway? Incidentally, we call them 'plooks' here in Scotland.

Thanks, Gus. It's not so angry now. The problem was trying to leave it alone - I knew it was there, it was sore, and poking it with my finger was not going to help it get better, yet I had this urge to keep touching it. Funny how a spot can eclipse all the other troubles in your life. Especially when you work with kids, as I do. They might not say anything, but they stare!

Next time one of the lil angels is STARIN', ask them if they'd like to CHEW IT OFF - that you'd give them a QUARTER!
(hopefully they won't want to - ha ha!)
I have had my share of all kinds of things on my face - it will go away!!!
