Here's To You Cherie!

Six and a half years on and I'm looking back upon
the good times I have had since I've been here,
on the Cherie Currie board, where togetherness strikes a friendly chord
while at the heart of it all is the one we all hold dear

and now she has begun her new trip 'round the sun,
in other words it's time to celebrate,
so I propose a toast, with these few words I humbly post
to the one to whom we all continually gravitate

so raise a glass dear friends, let's salute her once again
send some love her way from every corner of the earth,
'cause there could simply never be another gal like our sweet Cherie
and today is the anniversary of her birth!

So then, here's to you Cherie! Hope your new year is fun and worry free!
May your path be blessed and may all your dreams come true!
We see rainbows in the sky, when you, the apple of our collective eye,
are the one we're wishing a happy birthday to!
