Aww, "Great Rock 'N' Roll Swindle" got panned.. aw well, that was basically another McClaren publicity-stunt anyways. For real Punker docs, would suggest looking for "D.O.A." (focus is 'mainly' about the first & only US tour by the SEX PISTOLS, with hilariously bad 'interviews' with Sid Vicious & Nancy Spungen), the first "Decline Of Western Civilization" (God forbid anyone accidentally watches "the Metal Years", BGAH!), and there was some other long forgotten title,.. a lot of it consisted of interviews with Lydon & Cook & other surviving members of SEX PISTOLS in silhouette actually crying about how McClaren used them and force-fed Sid the drugs which killed him for ratings and headlines...
Besides the animated movie HEAVY METAL, would also suggest trying to locate a Canadian animated movie from about the same time called "ROCK~N~RULE", which has admittedly 'softer' music, but you get to hear Iggy Pop growl "Pain & Suffering" with an anthropomorphic doggirl in ******* ready for sacrifice to a demon. Those that watched old 'Night Flight' episodes from the early 80's'll remember their bootleg music vidoes!
"C*cksucker Blues" isn't worth the time spent watching it. My vote goes to "Gimme Shelter", a beautiful example of the Rolling Stones trying to repeat Woodstock on the West coast, with disasterous results, in large part to the involvement of Hells Angels. You'll get to see footage of a shooting, bands walking off stage in disgust, and a guy who was knifed to death by "security" during the concert! Golly-Gee-Whiz!!!

HEAD, 'plotless',... GASP!
It wasn't plotless, it was written to be nothing more than segues from one scene to another. Each segue had the potential to become a plotline, but The Monkee's were manufactured to only BE a segue.
**** fine movie though. Heard The Monkee's actually wrote and played the instruments on every song themselves for the movie.

Yeah TBAF,
ROADIE is one not to avoid! Blondie is great in that. Meatloaf shines as the Super-Roadie with the mighty slogan, "everything works if you let it."
That'll Be The Day is another favorite of mine!

It certainly isn't a rock n roll movie, but Nashville is a great parody of country music from the 1970s.
