Somebody's coming out of the closet in Archie Comics, and, no, it's not Moose. :laffingassoff:
The long-running comic-book series will introduce a new classmate to Riverdale High this fall, an openly gay teen named Kevin Keller ....
The hunky blond immediately catches rich girl Veronica's eye, but he tells Archie's buddy Jughead he's not interested.
"It's nothing against her! I'm gay!" he explains.
Jughead urges him to wait to tell Veronica, and "mayhem and hilarity ensue," the company said.
"It's a lot of fun," said Dan Parent, who wrote and drew the story for "Veronica" No. 202, which will hit comic-book stores in September.
Archie Comics' co-CEO, Jon Goldwater, said the recurring character is being introduced in the family-friendly comic because "we want to make sure Riverdale is a very inclusive place. We want to make sure everyone's included in Archie's world."
Both said they didn't see the addition as controversial.
"It's not an issue like it would have been 20-30 years ago," he said. "We're not trying to send social messages. We just want to reflect what's going on today. Riverdale's a melting pot."
He added that people who are offended by seeing the Riverdale gang hang around with a gay teen "aren't the kind of people we want reading our comics anyway."
The line of comics about a group of perpetual teens is trying to stay up to date in other ways as well.
Star Archie Andrews is taking a break from his long-running love triangle with Veronica and Betty to date Josie and the Pussycats member Valerie, best known as the first regular African-American Saturday-morning cartoon star.
"They make a great couple," Parent said. "She's a musician; Archie's a musician . . . You know musicians!"
Goldwater said the company will also be continuing a recent story line based on alternate futures in which Archie marries Veronica and another in which he marries Betty in a magazine called "Life with Archie."

S6: Well you can add Archie Comics along with THE RAWHIDE KID revamped to become more Gay Themed....
Actually I was always suspicious of Reggie who always dressed fashionably and seemed to be insanely jealous of Archie and Jughead's friendship....
And Jughead really never liked girls.....

Prof. Steven Hawking, on Aliens: Earth Should Watch Its Ass !!!
By Foster Kamer, Monday, Apr. 26 2010 @
Well, looks like someone's been watching a little too much Doctor Who.

Yes, that Steven Hawking, famous British theoretical physicist and author of A Brief History of Time thinks Earth's citizens should probably keep a low profile and -- in the famous words of Staten Island's Wu-Tang Clan,"protect yo' mothafuckin' neck" when it comes to matters regarding extraterrestrial visitors.
Via Emma Woollacott at the TG Daily, in a new documentary to air on the Discovery Channel, Into the Universe with Stephen Hawking, the iconic, wheelchair-bound Hawking advises against making contact with alien nations:
Hawking compares making contact with alien species with Native Americans' first contact with Christopher Columbus - which didn't turn out brilliantly for the Native Americans. "I imagine they might exist in massive ships... having used up all the resources from the planet below," Professor Hawking says. "Such advanced aliens would perhaps become nomads looking to conquer and colonise whatever planets they could reach. If so, it makes sense for them to exploit each new planet for materials to build more spaceships so they could move on."
Paranoid much? Maybe not, because almost everything about aliens coming to earth every turns out to be ****ty. And for the record, New York City has never -- ever -- fared well in these situations, as far as pop culture's concerned.
The question of whether or not New Yorkers might still find concern for Wal-Mart coming into the five boroughs in the midst of an alien invasion has yet to be seen. Though it probably shouldn't be put past them/us.

WASHINGTON – One of Dick Cheney's daughters says the hospitalized former vice president could go home on Monday after receiving medication to treat a fluid buildup related to his aggressive form of heart disease. The 69-year-old, who has had five heart attacks, was admitted to George Washington University Hospital on Friday after experiencing discomfort. His last heart attack — described as a mild one — was in February.
Liz Cheney tells "Fox News Sunday" that her father is feeling better and hopes to be released on Monday.
