Not familiar with Connie Francis's song. There are no credits. C'mon rocketmaster. Tell us who wrote what.
Steel is a great song. That was Cherie and Marie's song isn't it?
Not sure about the comparisions with Ann Wilson. Cherie sounds like Cherie to me.

It's not the Connie Francis song!!!! LOL!
As far as I know, and I will have to grill Mara and Cherie about this to get the full story, I was under the impression that Cherie wrote most of these songs either alone or with a variety of co-writers. Let me see what I can find out and I'll report back...may take til after the holidays tho, so be patient!
Happy Happy Joy Joy!

i used to have a few of her Best Of CDs. who could forget 'I'm Gonna Be Warm This Winter', 'Lipstick on your Collar' or "My Heart Has a Mind of Its Own.'
DeeJay, for a special Christmas Treat I shall recite to you some of the lyrics to 'Where the Boys Are'.
ahem, here we go...
Where the boys are
someone waits for me
a smiling face, a warm embrace
two arms to hold me tenderly...
...till he holds me..
oops! forgot the rest....can't wait to hear our Currie Queen's version. god, i love Cherie i can barely stand it!!!!

Lipstick on your collar
Told a tale on you-oo,
Lipstick on your collar
Says you were untrue-oo,
Bet your bottom dollar
You and I are through
'Cause lipstick on your collar
Told a tale on you - Boy!
Told a tale on you!

teddy, you're unreal....
"we met at a ski lodge
and we fell in love...
right by the fireplace
we shared our first embrace..
it's gonna snow outside
the weather will be cold
but i'm gonna be warm this winter..."
do forgive me if some of these lines are not in proper lyrical order. it's one of her best toons.
