Ah, ya rascal ! Ya shoulda held on to it. Serious. Contrary to popular belief, not all amps will sound the same with all gee-tars. Smack your lead guitarist in the back 'o' the head for not telling you that. Better yet, how 'bout we call Joan and let her dance on his fingertips ? hehehe
Distortion effects are dif too, sweetie. Play with different kinds in the music shop with your own gee-tar before ya buy the rascal. Any reputable music store will have an accoustic room to test it. If they don't-get the h*ll outta there. It ain't a real music store. Best of luck to ya, chick rocker. PS-Try different brands of strings too. Try some Dean Markley blue steel for feel. I think ya might like 'em. They have a great
twinge on blues type of tunes. Happy Trails
"I never understood the logic of why women can't play rock and roll. Women play violin and cello
in symphony orchestras, so why not rock and roll ?" Joan Jett

Thanx for the tips!!
Ur absolutely right, i feel that gear is like an artist's palete and colors. I currently use Vintage Gibson strings, i've messed with D'Addario, and GHS and Slinkys yuckkkk!
Mann guess what happened to the Iceman?? IT BROKE!!! On sunday we had a show and while i was lugging out my equip my guitar case (veryyy old only has one working clasp) opened and my gorgeous lovechild fell face first!!! Dammed! it cracked right where the volume and tone knobs are therefore damaging some of the electronics as well. Also it chipped by where the trebble switch is at and the bridge got a little messed up as well. OHHH Boy will SKB ever endorse me?? I learned my lesson though, tonite im out to buy a new case and take the Iceman to the repair shop.

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH !!! Ya dropped the axe ? Bummer. The shop should be able to patch it up for ya. Doesn't sound like ya did any permanent damage. I kinda did that once-sorta. I got an attitude trying to play a seven chord progression with a pretty quick beat and my fingers were being uncooperative soooooooooooo I threw the guitar against the couch across the room. Anger management classes may be in order here. Rockin' chick drummer Jennifer Massini that was with the Connecticut band, Kudra, use to kid me all the time about my early frustrations. Jenn was on the cover of a couple national drummer magazines, but has since gone back to school to get her teaching degree in music. She's a little bitty thing, about 5 foot tall and weighs maybe 95 pounds if her pockets were filled with silver dollars.

My guitar is ironically named, Jennifer, in silver sparkle letters on the front.(The Cort M series) She kinda got me started on the electric rock and roll gig. I met her through another Jett fan about 4 years ago. There isn't any more links to her photo cuz she's not officially with Kudra anymore and they had to take off her pics on the band's site. I'll try to find one the mag covers she was on.

This is the only pic I can find of Jenn right now. It's not a very good photo of her.

I can feel your pain since I own the same Iceman. That and my SG are my two most prized guitars. I had pickups replaced on both of them for the Gibson Tony Iommi ones. Since the Iceman is an odd shape, it there are few cases available but I found the Ibanez Bass case does the trick for $50 less than the Iceman case. I bought mine at Sam Ash in Hollywood for around $70. Clasps are pretty solid.
