My little sister lives in San Diego, and needed to evacuate.
But then, I don't think it really bothers her much. 75% of her life is spent flying around Asia, European countries, Middle-East, etc. yadda-yadda.
She works for pharmaceutical companies, and is constantly being laid-off one job until the other.
One was a heart medecine that killed tens of thousands of patients last year(s) - (you might recognize the name). So, let off that job, and worked on another this year that killed thousands of patients too, but that brand-name isn't public knowledge yet.

Thanks for the additional info Cherie. If I lived a little closer, I'd be volunteering to help you rebuild!
Hopefully things will return to some degree of normalcy, for you, in short order!
Yer friend,
