Halloween Greetings

This day started out, warmer than normal. The sky has been grey and cloudy since I awoke at the <s>crack of Dawn</s> 9:00. As the day progressed the weathermen started issuing storm warnings. I stood with my nose to the window watching the grey sheet of rain as it slowly blew across the beanfields. Just as the wind started whipping the rain against the side of the farm house, I saw lights bouncing down the rutted muddy road that leads from the highway. It was a race between the Mail truck and the rain, and the rain won.
A very wet postal worker pushed open the door to his truck and started running across the yard carrying a large package. He burst through the front porch door, steam rising from his bare head. "I have a package for a Roger **** from NEW YORK CITY. I rushed it over here , I know it must be sumptin important." I thanked him and sent him on his way as Mrs Ella and I wrestled the package inside and fought over who got to open it (she Won).
It was like winning a sweet tooth lottery as candy, toys, cookies and Mmmmmm Home made chocolate came pouring across the floor. Yep That Miz Jettster sho knows how to make a grey day Sunny fer sure.
