The lighting struck me as the worst aspect of the trailer. Just notice how ameturish lighting was used in this night-scene; give them a flood spotlight and nevernind the shadows! OR the direction of light!!

They shoulda used a boom or scafold to raise the lights above shoulder-height and done color-corrections for those unnatural tungsten bulbs, make it appear to be streetlight illumination. As-Is, looks like a crappy job only suitable for a Disney-Channel made-for-tv Halloween holiday episode of The Brady Bunch.

There's no telling (yet) how this unliscensed remake will fare. Even through the "Media" link on that page, it's only claimed Metropolis Entertainment has made the TRAILER. There's no mention of a release date for the feature itself.

Although the trailer (slow-loading as the page is) didn't impress me in the least, believe they made a healthy choice if only for rating the movie NC-17 themselves, even before MPAA gets a chance to see a movie they haven't even made yet!

This could be a good choice, if the producers/distributors thinking is along the same lines I HOPE it is. The MPAA rating system only goes up to NC-17, which means XXX (a fictitious rating, only used by self-serving porn producers to 'boost' video sales) full-penetration sexual content, if ever brought before the MPAA, could only receive an NC-17 rating.

If this Last House 'remake' is taking the course I HOPE they are, they're making an extreme rape/murder porn (like Last House was originally scripted to be) and giving it NC-17 voluntarily in a desire to release it theatrically. Few theatres today will show NC-17 movies, but NO theatres anywhere in North America will show a self-proclaimed 'XXX' movie. The last true adult theatre, AVON (in forgotten city, it's written down here somewhere), closed about 5 years ago.

If my own expectations are realized, this shitty movie might be a signal. Hopefully a return to plot-driven adult cinema. Granted, one can't break from making porn to 'real' movies overnight, just take baby-steps.
