in Europe for a time. Exactly how
many years did you live there ?

I've lived off and on in Europe since 1972, Mostly in Munich, where I still have access to an appartment. I am in Rome quite regularly and will be in England in Sept. of this year.

Re: your days in Europe, Mr. Hess, in your biography section, there is mention of your days in Germany from 1972-1976. It says that you wrote English shooting scripts for German directors. Among them was Rainer Werner Fassbinder. Being an immense fan and disciple of Fassbinder (I even look similar to him, except for the nose), in what way did you work with him? I know that in some of his films, like FOX AND HIS FRIENDS, there was English dialogue. Did you have a hand in writing it? One other question, actually a three-parter:

A) Did you ever meet Fassbinder in the flesh?

B) If so, what was he like? And...

C) Was it through him that you met Ulli Lommel?

Any info will be most appreciated, Mr. Hess
