Saw US National Tour Rent tonight with Roger being played by..

Declan Bennett - he was Billy in Taboo when John was Marilyn. I was surprised to see a British actor in a role on a US National Tour. He was pretty good in the part - this isthe best US National tour show I've seen in a long time. Declan did a great job, but he lacks the power & the amazing vibratto John brought to the part. Plus, it was weird seeing a Roger who wore black nail polish & black eyeliner - very skinny, too. But overall, he did okay. This tour has improved so much since I saw it in Chicago last April - got rid of the lousy Mimi they had & the Roger wasn't that earth-shaking either.
