I still say as the Phantom in POTO or if they did the musical version of Willy Wonka - I think he'd be great as Wonka - he has that comedic, playful side, but also that mysterious side that the character Wonka has. He could really run with that part.

He'd be good as alot of roles in Les Mis...perhaps Enjolras (always had a soft spot for him)
But then again, the show needs to close so maybe not.

I'd personally LOVE to see him reprise his role in Rent, my fav show, my fav character, my fav performer.

There's not that much on in London that would be any good really, which is a shame..unless he goes back to 'taboo' but in my opinion that's gone downhill anyway.

I think he'd be a really funny Emcee in Cabaret. Or I'd like to see him in Jesus Christ Superstar as Judas....wicked show and part.
The chance of seeing John in suspenders and stillettos is strangely appealing, so yeah, Rocky as well (as Frank).

Personally I'm like Ruth and would love to see John reprise his Roger role in Rent.

Vocally he'd be a good Hedwig..but I don't think his acting is up to the part. Then again the guy I saw in London was so amazing I doubt anyone would be able to surpass him anyway!!

Ruth you're so right he'd be a fab Emcee in Cabaret. He's make a great Frank in Rocky...I've always thought so..or strangely I'd quite like to see him as Riff Raff. Riffy's a lovely part and I could imagine him hitting those notes perfectly!

He'd better not go for any role in 'Cliff: The Musical'....as much as I like John, I could not bring myself to see that show...visions of John singing "Summer Holiday" arghhhh

I wonder what the new Rod Stewart musical will be like...supposedly based on the story of Faust. Rod's music is pretty rock n rolly, John would probably suit something in that.

He can't go into 'The Sound of Music' either......jeez I hate that film.
