Symbol of Love,a new musical concerning the English Civil War, may open in London in 2004/05 after a national tour. Producer John Warwick has been working with Really Useful Theatres to stage a series of Sunday concerts and is now looking at expanding the show. The play traces the ill-fated love affair of Martha Fairchild, the daughter of a Royalist lord of the manor, and James Fenton, the son of a peasant farmer and a soldier in the New Model Army.
