Yea, I'd like to know this as well. UVA-Wise has had a ruff time of it here early in the season, hopefully they will get it turned around.

it won't happen, the coaching situation at uva-wise is sad....just ask anyone who has played there.

I was expecting big things out of the UVA-Wise Baseball team this season, its about the only sport they have that had any hope this year.

well the girls basketball team has some tremendous talent as well, but the coaching situation is even worse than the baseball.

This is all so sad. UVA Wise has, or are getting, great facilities and you are saying their coaching isn't up to their facilities?

no winning does not seem to be a priority in most sports.

I think the problem at UVA-Wise is that the A.D. is too nice. The only coaches out there that should still have a job are Lee Clark with the Men's Basketball team and the volleyball coach. Wasem is a nice guy but he hasn't come close to finishing .500 yet. Banner and the Women's basketball coach are probably two of the worst coaches you will found on the collegiate level record wise. I believe once you are hired as a coach out at UVA-Wise it's for life no matter what kind of record you have. That's the only thing that can explain Wasem still being the football coach.

Ray Spenalli knows more baseball then 99% of the world.

Great guy too, i used to love talking baseball with him.

True, but being a good person and knowing a lot about baseball are not exactly the qualities of good A.D. It's past time to start making some changes with the coaches at UVA-Wise.
