Ronnie Brown didn't have the numbers Benson had because he shared the ball with the Caddy, I think scouts knew what they were getting, plus at the combine he really impressed them.

yep, the combine made the difference. The big question was, could Brown carry the ball 30 times a game like Benson. Obviously Saban felt he could. Only time will tell.

true enough, but there's not many backs in the league right now who could carry it 30 times a game and make it past thier 5th year in the league.

    Re: Tech vs. Maryland

I'll take overrated and 7-0 over underrated and 5-2!

Tech is 7-0 and haven't lost any ground. They still need a Texas or USC loss to get into the N.C. game anyway. All Tech has to do is keep winning and hope someone knocks of Texas or the Trojans.

Tech has gone on the road twice this season in a hostile environment and won both games convincingly. They dominated the game last night even though the score didn't show it. Tech blew 11 if not 14 points inside the redzone. Add in those two TDs and the final score is 42-9.

Of course if ifs and buts were candy and nuts, we'd all have a merry christmas. Nonetheless, Tech is still on course and no harm done with Vick's 3 INTs.

    Re: Tech vs. Maryland

Yeah I mean Vick throws 3 INT on the road but still put up nice numbers and they win, but he's not good.

Leinart throws 2 on the road with the greatest bunch of talent, not great numbers and they win....yet he's still a great QB

Granted, Maryland isn't Notre Dame but if you listen to the brains, USC's offense is on another level to anybody. Simple fact, with the Pac-10 being as defensive oriented as it is *lol*, Vick's numbers tend to go against better defenses than Leinart's.
What we've got here is failure to communicate. Some men you just can't reach, so you get what we had here last week which is the way he wants it. Well, he gets it.
