According to the article below GC's varsity is undefeated in LPD play.

GATE CITY -- It was only a matter of time before
it was going to happen, but the Gate City Lady Blue
Devils wrapped up yet another LPD volleyball
championship on Tuesday with a 25-11, 25-10, 25-11
victory over Appalachia in the Blue Devil Gym.

Gate City is now 17-2 overall and 13-0 in the LPD with a lone game remaining Thursday at J.I. Burton. The Lady Blue Devils are also assured of being at home for a satellite game next Tuesday in the LPD tournament. The semifinals and finals of it will be next Thursday at Appalachia.

Emily Helms had 14 kills and Andrea Lalic' 12 kills in Tuesday's win, while Chelsea Spivey had 30 assists. The Lady Blue Devils have now won 90 straight LPD games and have not lost since rejoining the district four years ago.

The only team in the region that will give GC trouble is Rye Cove. I don't know that Rye Cove can beat them but it should at least be a good game.
Also, the last I heard the LPD #1 will play the CD #1 in the second round so if that's still the case then the LPD #2 has a good shot at making it to the state tournament.

pv plays kelly tonight i think that will decide who get 2nd
and gate city has already claimed the district with the win over appy last night

pv has second place all to itself. pv has been beat by GC twice, and Kelly has been beat by GC & PV twice. Even if pv gets beat tonight, they still will be in 2nd place.
