Passing was the only thing they could do in the game I saw them.
How long has Colley been coaching?

He has been there since '83.
Correction, make that '82.
Clintwood is fairly young but its talented youth in my opinion...there is a difference between just being young and being stocked with talented youth. They may be one or probably even two years away but I see them having a state playoff type team in the near future.

Maybe we should follow Powell Valley to the fertile grounds of Lee County? They seem to bring quite a few kids to BSG who are outside Wise Co.

Not sure who they lost and who they kept, so I'm not going to place them on the list. I know it seems silly, but I don't want to throw someone in there that I'm unsure of.

Yup you all should, cause latley you've just not been getting the job done. Anyway my LPD predictions.
1. PV: Loaded with talent and experience the Vikings should represent the Region in the state playoffs this year.
2. GC: Everybody else in the LPD is scared to death of them outside of PV. Norton could compete with them but they are scared, and will lose to the Blue Devils again.
3. JIB: Tons of talent turns into early sucess which turns into a mid to late season collapse from all the cockiness. This brings their heads back down and allows them to play ball until they make the state finals where they are scoreless the last 8 quarters up there.
4. Clintwood: Young talent and a good coach puts the Greenwave on the verge of a Region D playoff berth.
5. Appalachia: New coach, same kids and tradition. The Dawgs are not the Dawgs of old but they are still pretty tough.
6. Pound: Lost tons of talent on both sides of the ball, still good enough to beat out Wise and Coeburn for last. The big question in Pound should be whether they lifted weights or threw at a punching bag. I'm hoping it's the punching bag, nothing like seeing fights in the stands on a Friday Night.
7. Wise: Mainly here by default, I put them here since they beat Coeburn last year.
8. Coeburn: Lost to Wise, enough said.

To comment on clintwood and pound. They both lost 11 seniors, so really who ever has the best returning will be the one to come out on top. I wonder about appalachia cause they are the ones that could be in the top 4. But to pick Pound last, well it could happen but I doubt it the next couple of years. We too have some good talent returning.
