whether we like it or not, bonds is the best hitter since aaron and the best lefty since lou gehrig. sadly he will break ruth's record. I would personally like to see him go to the angels jus so he can play at Boston, esp after all the comments he made about them and how racist they are.

Bonds will break Aarons record, this is why I have jumped on the Albert Pujols bandwagon. I hope that Dominican hits 800 homers jus so Bonds isnt the homerun king.

I need to be kicked out of the red sox nation for that one. good call. Ted Williams would have hit probally 100 more homers if he had not been on active duty during the war.

But as much as I am a fan of the Red Sox, I am not much of a Ted Williams fan. Every peice of literature I have read bout him, talks bout what a [censored] he was. How arrogant he was. Yes he is arguably the best left handed hitter in history but this is a guy who treated the fans at fenway like dirt. I wish the trade of Dimaggio for Williams had went through. But that is just me.

Bonds is alot like Williams, right down to the part where he likes to teach hitting to other players but doesnt necessarily care about managing. Ted was like a fine wine that aged over time to become a beloved figure. With the espn era and the constant coverage, I dont think Bonds will ever be able to have that chance of being loved in 50 years.
