It shows if definately matters when you lose. It'd be so much better if they didn't release a poll till the last month of the season then have an eight to ten playoff format.

Let's see. A 1 point loss when the losing team rushes for -11 yards or a 10 point loss when the losing team looks like complete and total crap. Losing to a team that looked like the Derby School for the Blind, Deaf, and Dumb the week before.

I've said it for years but they do not need to release any polls till the 4th week of the season. too many teams are ranked to high and other are ranked too low to start out with. Lets see what they have for a few weeks before we rank anyone.
USC is being ranked on past history is why they are #2. Till they show they are not that good it is going to happen
