I'm more interested in where you've heard the word "luster" lol
Is racing still racing?
I mean has it lost some of it's luster in the last few years?

What?
Did I spell it wrong?
One of my friends said nascar wasn't real racing anymore... I just wanted to know what everyone thought about that?

nah that's the problem everything was spelled correctly and it actually made senese I'm proud of ya bud! LOL
im a big fan of nascar. i have been for 20 years. i think nascar now is as good as it's ever been. i actually overlook all the commercialization that has taken place in the last 10 years. money changes everything. one thing that is still true about nascar is that drivers still love to drive and race as much as possible. you see evidence of that because most of the cup drivers also run the busch series on saturdays.

I don't think it's lost it's luster, it has just changed.. Over the last few years, there has been a "changing of the guard" with guys like Wallace going out and Kahne coming in.. That's just part of it.. And a multi-car team is a must now days to be competitive and it is all about money.. But I still think most of the drivers are still driven by winning.. Stewart for example will race anything and anytime he gets the chance.. The sport is more competitive now than it has ever been and IMO the drivers are the best that they have ever been.. Most of the "kids" out there driving have been doing it since they were 5 years old and they are good.. I love it!
