A meeting will be held on Saturday, Feburary 17, 2007 at 6:00 p.m. at the Appalachia Recreational Center to discuss possible interest in building a state of the art skateboard park. Not to be an arse, but I don't see Appy being the best place to try and put something like this. But I do have to say that I would have travelled to Appy to use it when I was in high school and skated.
What kind of cost would this be and what would they charge admitance to pay for it.

i think this is a good idea.. im young and alot of my friends are skaters.. i agree that i dont think appy is the best place to build one but it will be nice just to have one no matter hwere its at. If you are complaining about kids skating on the sidewalks and things then you should be willing to hlep out and push to have a skate park built. It will give them a place to go and be doing it legally and with some supervision. I think its a great idea. Just hate that it has taken this long for it to be considered.
skateboarding is not as easy as some think it is
personally i think its a great idea, as far as appy being the location, dont know if that is the best spot for it, but im sure many would travel over there to skate
