    Re: DUKE...VS...VCU

Reyshaun Terry is the only player on Carolina's team, a junior that receives significant playing time, if they are young, and Duke is young, then Duke is F'd for the next 4 years. Not really because Carolina's players will all go pro but then they will get another really young 5 McDonald all americans and beat this no talent Duke team which wont be young anymore, they will just be old and sucky. Then Burton2019 can say, hey Carolina is young but we still kicked your arse. Then youll say, well we got McDonalds all americans coming in. If they are talented like they should be, they could give Carolina a game but then if they get their arses handed to them again, they will just be "young" again. Duke has ZERO talent. They might as well just go ahead and recruit 5 starters. I dont want to hear "they are young". When you are young you usually can still put the ball in the basket, its other parts of your game that are lacking. With Duke, those dudes cant shoot worth a [censored]. Believe me, Ive watched Mustafa Shakur for 4 years, when someone cant shoot, they cant shoot, they rarely get dramatically better

Buddy they are young!!! I will admit they didn't have a go to guy this year. I believe that was the only thing Duke was missing this year! Look for Duke to make a good run next year.

Paulus and company will be on the bench next year, if not get ready for another down year. Smith and Singler can shine if rat lets them.

    Re: DUKE...VS...VCU

wasn't McRoberts, Paulus, Scheyer, Henderson and Nelson all brought in to be that go-to guy??

all of the above were McDonald's All-Americans and you can't find a go-to guy out of the bunch? sounds like a coaching problem to me

this BS about being young doesn't hold water when your "young" are all McD All-Americans...look at Carolina, they're younger than Duke

what Duke is missing is athleticism, who are they bringing in that will help that? well Nolan Smith will help a little but Singler will actually be easier to guard without any athletic help on the offensive end...Taylor King is probably a year away from contributing significant minutes

so honestly, just how much better will Duke be?

It was amazing how much quicker VCU was than Duke. They havent had a truely athletic guy that could make things happen since Deng.

    Re: DUKE...VS...VCU

i really liked watching Duke when they had Dahntay Jones, Jason Williams, Mike Dunleavy, Carlos Boozer, Chris Duhon, etc.

those teams had the right mix...this team is just unathletic and a pain to watch
