90-91 raiders
I understand your bias if you played with him.
But the 90's, to a certain degree, gave birth to the legendary status of the LPD, if not gave birth solidified it I will say, much of that on the legs of its runners.

Have u ever played the game of FOOTBAll before?
you are crazy as hell if you think the lpd was noticed only by the teams of the 90. As far as running backs Edd Clark is the very reason the lpd was on the map. Im sure there were plenty more besides himin the lpd that were good. it all comes down to what year we all remember.
Success is never final;
Failure is never fatal;
It is courage that counts.
K, Im not crazy.
Which decade ever gave us 2 NFL running backs?
I said, possible gave birth if not solidified its place in history. Clark of the 60's, McFall of the 70's and then you have the 80's and 90's which brought in most of the Titles in the LPD. Appy won 1 in the 70's. JJK 1 in the 70's and Burton 1 in the 70's Clintwood 3 in the 70's and then you have 4 by Appy and 8 by PV. in the 80's and 90's.
If this board has done nothing but glorify the LPD, much of its lore can be traced back to the 80/90's. No accomplishments can be matched before or since then.

I think he's saying as far as quality, that was the best, most talented group. The LPD has never seen a more talented group of players, not just rb, but qb, ol, dl. That was and is the benchmark for the district.
"There he goes, one of Gods own prototypes. Some kind of high powered mutant never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die"
That was just when college scouts actually started coming in to see the talent for themselves. The LPD had athletes for years that could have played on the next level..but conventional thinking was that the athletes here were just big fish in small ponds. Turned out they were wrong.

I agree yankeebaseball, I think you are right. Just my opinion

Hamm passed 1000 in game 6-7 and passed 2000 in game 12. He was faster than Williams but Jeff had better lateral movement.
Still not putting him top 5 all time top 15 possibly.

Not sure about 91 but in 90 he came into the Clintwood game averging 200 YPG and Clintwood held him to 50 yards on around 25 carrys (unfortuntly 10 of them were in OT LOL)
The thing I remembered most about him from 90 was that he would cough the ball up after ya racked em a couple of times...but he did have good moves and speed.
