    Fitness/Workouts

this thread is designed to give present and former athletes the chance to ask questions about fitness, workouts, supplements, nutrition, etc.
Also, it will be a good place for new and upcoming kids to find out alternative workouts, that may suite them better.

How about this? Does anyone have a relatively easy to manage diet that they use, or have used in the past? I tend to love to eat too much, and not get enough exercise. Thinking about starting to run some distance stuff to work on the exercise part.

20-30 mins of cardio a day is a big key in weight loss, and keeping it off. You can do walking, jogging, running, sprints. Just cardio is vital. Also, since you like to eat more than exercise, what are your eating habits? Intakes, types of food you eat. I would first and foremost suggest, getting all the crap outta your body. The bad foods you've had. A good seven day cleansing package at GNC will help. A good detox.
I would suggest you eat 6 small meals a day, it keeps your metabolism up, and combine that with cardio, you will be a fat burning machine. Here is just an example of a diet I made up.
Breakfast: Oatmeal (instant packs are fine), half grapefruit, green tea
Snack- protein shake/bar, or 1 cup fruit
    Lunch-salad with grilled/baked chicken breast/shrimp/crab
    snack-protein shake/bar/fruit/veggies
    dinner-baked/grilled-fish/chicken, steamed veggies, fruits, water/tea..
    snack-fruits/veggies/granola bars

Protein intake should be around 120-130 grams a day. Try to stay away from all soda's, caffeineted drinks.
Also, you can always substitute everything I just said.. lean meats are good.. grill and bake, do not fry...

    Re: Fitness/Workouts

That is pretty good stuff steer, just as an example I am in the process of trying to shed a few lbs, definately needed. I have been eating right, controlling my portions and cut out all soda's and only drink water and then at night I run/walk 2 miles a day and in a total of 6 days I have dropped 12 pounds. I know most of this is water weight and it is getting rid of the bad stuff in my body and from here on out will be a lot slower but it is a start. Thanks for adding this I might needs some help/motivation from time to time. It is definately harder to do the exercise routine when you have a child, that is why I run after she is asleep.

Do you have any good recipe's for protein shakes steer?

    Re: Fitness/Workouts

2 cups of protein Vanilla flavor
    1-2 table spoons honey
1 cup fresh fruit or frozen (berries are the best)
    1 cup milk (skim/fat free)
1-2 cups low fat yogurt (regular or flavor that suites fruit)
    1 cup ice

blend it all up and bam.. some think it's good, others dont. I love it. Just make sure the yogurt compliments the fruit you use.

how come the 'before' pics are dated 4 years after the 'after' pics?
Don't feel like Satan, but I am to them
So I try to forget it any way I can.
