stat they showed today, VT has beaten more teams than anyone with a winning record. They have beaten 6 teams with a winning record while LSU and Ohio St both have 5 and I can't remember the rest of the list except for USC which has beaten 2 teams with a winning record.
To not allow Georgia to play for the title basically devalues any value that the polls have left. Clearly, there is an agenda to leave Georgia out because they didnt play in the SEC title game which means if the pollsters felt LSU was the best team, they shouldnt have had Georgia ranked higher to begin with. Why should a team be jumped in the polls when they didnt play? It obvious the pollsters had no problem putting Georgia at #4 until it actually meant something so they are basically saying that they never were the #4 team, they just put them there. WTF IS WRONG WITH THAT? When #1 and #2 lose, all year long you would see #3 and #4 move up to be the #1 and #2 teams. So why stop that trend now? Because it actually means something this time. Thats insane.
With that being said, heres my arguement. Georgia lost 2 conference games and so did LSU. They are basically saying that UGA doesnt deserve to play for a national title because they played in the SEC East instead of West *sigh*. Its not like we are talking about LSU and UT being totally superior, the difference was a tie breaker and a sorry arse kicker from Vandy. LSU had their chance to take care of business 2 weeks against Arkansas. Georgia is red hot and you can say, right now, that they are a better team than LSU. They are 4-0 against ranked opponents I believe and won 6-7 in a row. They are more worthy and the whole SEC championship game thing is overstated. The last time I checked, theres no rule that says you have to win your conference to play for a national title and I think its a bunch of horeshat that pollsters are making up rules as they go along and do stuff in the last poll that they would never do in any case. Really, when was the last time, the #7 team jumped #6, #5, and #4 in the last poll when none of those teams lost. Its unprecidented.
As bad as I hate to say it, I say Hawaii too. The BCMess could save a little face by selecting them. People say they didnt play anybody, well WVU didnt play anybody last night and lost. But as it is, LSU vs. Ohio State. Geaux Tigers. VT could make a case except for a 41 point loss to a team that is in the running for a spot in the NC game with them. Georgia was 4th behind Ohio State, so how can they fall out of it (but they will). The media loves Chokelahoma, and granted they beat the quote #1 team in the land on a neutral field by three touchdowns. I know I'm jumping around here but could you do this :
Fiesta Bowl - #1 vs. #8
Orange - #2 vs. #7
Sugar - #3 vs. #6
Rose - #4 vs. #5
Then winner of lets say Fiesta plays Rose winner. in the Corporate Sponsor Big Paycheck Bowl.com
The winner of Orange plays the Sugar winner in another Big Pacheck Bowl.
Then have the last 2 standing play for the NC. The schools are not losing any money, actually making alot more. You dont eliminate the bowls for us Bowl Lovers, and you still have a playoff.
I am back in town. I am soooooooo glad W. Va. and Missouri will not be playing for the title and this year we definately could use a playoff. That is a good bracket VOL DUDE.
My number one seed is Ohio State, 2.LSU, 3.Va. Tech, 4.USC, 5. Georgia, 6.Oklahoma, 7.as bad as I hate to..Hawaii, 8.Florida...
W.Va, Missouri, and Kansas, and Hawaii I believe to play more of the "big" boys. Maybe you guys could schedule Marshall, North Texas State, and Toledo for your bowl games.
Just my opinion. Take it for what its worth.
If georgia gets in it devalues the title games the dawgs may be playing good ball but they didnt take care of business all year and thats what the current system requires
the year Nebraska got in we all saw what happened they got the hell beat out of them I think Colorado would have made a better game of it

dude colorado didnt even beat oregon that year, it would have been oregon, colorado lost 2 games.
as far as georgia goes, how are their 2 losses in the same conference any different from lsu's two losses. I guess lsu didnt take care of business either.
Georgia has the bad luck of playing in the stronger division of the SEC this year????
yep, thats pretty much what Im saying. Not to mention if the pollsters had LSU #7 last week and UGA #4 last week, why the dramatic change. Its just saying that you were completely wrong the week before. Theres no credibility at all in that.
You dudes are right on, how do you punish Georgia for not playing this week when Ohio State didnt play either. They were 3 and 4, 1 and 2 lost. Who knows, all the experts are saying LSU but I have a sneaky feeling about Oklahoma.
