Rolles Gracie (3-0 MMA, 0-0 UFC), part of MMA's legendary Gracie clan, has signed a multi-fight deal with the UFC and is expected to meet fellow heavyweight Mostapha Al-Turk (6-5 MMA, 0-2 UFC) at UFC 109 in February.

Gracie and his management team announced the signing via Twitter on late Tuesday.

Although not officially announced by the organization, UFC 109 is expected to take place Feb. 6 in Las Vegas.

Monte Cox was right, Tim Sylvia is much better off outside the UFC. Ugh! The former UFC champ on the advice of his manager, Cox, headed for "greener" pastures. He lost in 36 seconds to Fedor Emelianenko and just 11 seconds to 100-year-old boxer Ray Mercer. He does have that big win over Jason Riley. Up next? It could be freak-du-jour Hong Man Choi. In a story first mentioned by The Fight Nerd, Cox confirmed with AOL Fanhouse's Ariel Helwani that Sylvia has committed to fight for DREAM on New Year's Eve.
The 7-foot-2, 320-pound Choi was knocked from DREAM's Super Hulk tournament in September when YouTube - Hong Man Choi vs Ikuhisa Minowa 2 of 2. All kidding aside, Sylvia should destroy Choi and start back up the ladder towards legitimate heavyweights. There's nothing wrong with another fight to help him repair that wounded ego.
Last night was a big night for upcoming fight rumors. Gray Maynard v. Nate Diaz leads the way. Robbie Lawler is rumored to have been offered a December date against Ronald "Jacare" Souza or Nick Diaz. And the UFC has signed another Gracie.

2545720007 d1a93f30faLittle has been heard from Robbie Lawler since losing to Jake Shields at a Strikeforce event in June, but FanHouse has learned that the former EliteXC middleweight champion has been offered to return on Strirkeforce's December card. Lawler has verbally agreed to fight at the end of the year but no opponent has been finalized.

FanHouse has also learned that two opponents have been talked about to face Lawler: Ronaldo "Jacare" Souza and Nick Diaz.

Lawler's agent Monte Cox would not confirm nor deny Lawler's involvement on the card, but he did tell FanHouse last month that he wasn't interested in having Lawler fight "Jacare" in the near future.

"Jacare" recently signed with Strikeforce, but has yet to fight for the organization.

Diaz defeated Lawler via second-round knockout at UFC 47 in April 2004. He hasn't competed since defeating Scott Smith on the same June card in St. Louis, and was scheduled to fight Jay Hieron for the vacant welterweight title in August before pulling out after failing to show up to a pre-fight drug test administered by the California State Athletic Commission.

MMA Junkie recently reported that Strikeforce is looking to hold their December "Arena Series" show in their home base of San Jose, Calf., but no date or venue has been officially announced.

This entire season has been terrible. The only thing worth tuning in for is the pranks. The actual fights are awful. I'm just blown away at how low the skill level is, especially considering many of these guys, such as Wes Sims, are long time veterans of the sport.

Big Country's fight was horrible, because Kimbo is horrible.

Big country should win this season, unless something happens and I'd be VERY surprised if he's stunned by some of this competition.

I agree Nelson should take this fairly easy. Rampage is a dip**** for a coach. He can be funny at times but unless it was just edidted that way he should have shut up about the titties before the fight.

From what little I can piece together from the short training clips it seems to me that Rashad's guys are getting far better coaching in general than Rampage's guys.
