Yeah, next week they're up against Gate City as if their loss to Rye Cove wouldn't be heartbreaking enough.

I was looking through the schedule and I was thinking the same thing . . St. Paul seems really down this year and I fear that will be their only chance of sealing a win. They may give Pound a decent game, too, but I don't see them winning.

I know I'm probably going to take a lot of heat for this, but just look at the rest of their upcoming games, minus only Pound and St. Paul:
- Gate City
- Shelby Valley, KY
- J.J. Kelly
- Powell Valley

I can't say a whole lot about Shelby Valley, but the other three teams will almost surely provide losses, so there are 3 easily predictable losses right there - 4 if Shelby Valley is even remotely decent.

Has Appalachia ever gone 0-10 before in school history? I remember when they went 0-9 in 2003 and Tom Turner was quoted as saying it was the worst it'd been there, EVER.

Yeah they barely beat Ervinton, but their QB who is their offense was out. Appy will still have a chance to win regardless.

Yeah I didnt think about them being so down this year, they lost a lot. They were decent last year, sorta.

Big CMD win in this game.

Agreed, IMO Lebanon isnt as good as ppl think.

I hate that for the kids from Appy. So much proud tradition at that little school. I know firsthand being a Kelly fan how painful an 0-10 is. There is truly nothing worse (in sports anyway). I hope very much that Appy and Pound at least win 1. Of course,one of them will when they meet. I'd bet the farm that that game will be as hard-fought as a body will see.
