    Clintwood/Burton analysis

Wow, I can't believe that 5,000+ braved these elements tonight. If it had been 5 degrees colder I would not have been there.

Both teams struggled with the conditions, bad snaps, lots of dropped balls etc...

Basically it came down to the line of scrimmage and we eventually wore them down up front. Chris Robinson had a huge night. Clintwood completely SHUT DOWN the Raider offense. I would be shocked if they had more than 150 yards of total offense. Coach Grant done a magnificent job of scheming for them.

I honestly do not look forward to seeing Burton on the turf, it could be a different outcome. Speed and rain usually do not mix very well.

I also would like to point out that Will Godsey is a beast. He made play after play after play for the Raiders. When that guy is healthy he is one of the best in SWVA.

It feels good to have an LPD championship.
It is hard to fail, but it is worse never to have tried to succeed.

    Re: Clintwood/Burton analysis

It was a good game, but i do think that clintwood is the better team and can win again when they play. The rain is just an excuse that can be used by the raider fans, but in reality it was the same for both we both have speed, i think the stength of schedule that burton and clintwood have played showed up tonight. When you havent played your starters 4 qtrs until the next to last game of the season it makes for a rough time as seen tonight. The score could have been alot worse, and was closer in score than it actually was on the field

Go read my live blog from last night, I said Clintwood would control the line, I just felt the wave were gonna be to physical for the raiders. That was gonna be key especially if it was wet.

Rain or not, Clintwood's D just shut down the Raiders. They were in the backfield all night and Clintwood took away the Raiders ability to get to the corners.

Also, the rain didn't slow down Robinson.

Better team won tonight that is for sure. The Raider O was completely shut down. There should be no excuses from any Raider fans. Chris Robinson played one helluva game. Congrats to Clintwood on the LPD Championship, you deserve it.

CW dominated, should have won much worse. Did JIB even have 5 first downs for the game? In the playoffs just kick the ball out of bounds on kickoffs and you'll roll.
