    6. Rivers
    7. Romo - He's still **** good.
    8. Eli - not worth his recent 97 million contract, but he led his team to a ring.
    9. Palmer
    10. Cutler - it was a toss-up and I like him.

I don't know how Rodgers and Ryan have proven themselves over a Romo or Palmer and McNabb would make that list if he played 100% all/most of the season.

I laughed when I read what you said about Brady, he won them rings without all that great help. Matter of fact he prolly had less help then most of the QBs in the league around that time...

    Brady is a beast!

you cant compare the Ravens D that year to the Giants D two years ago. its not comparable.

and eli led the game winning drive, dilfer was only not to lose the game.

i get your point, but eli proved to me he had the QB mojo during that postseason.
and thats something a few QB's (brees, palmer, romo, etc..) still havent mastered.

romo has led his team to the post-season, rodgers has not.

and i really think you guys are selling carson palmer short.

him and tom brady both are coming off significant injuries, but brady is still near the top of the list, whilst palmer is just an after thought.

palmer has top 3 skills, no doubt.

the last few years, the pats have had stacked teams, but their first SB team wasnt that loaded with talent.

their D has played a huge part in their winning 3 super bowls.

but brady is a top 3 QB, i cant see anyone disputing that.

the thing that sets brady apart is he almost always keeps his cool. That SB against the Giants was one of the few times i've seen a tema make Tom Brady look like he wasn't sure what was going on.

The running game in Pittsburgh is not what it use to be. Parker is a speed guy, not a pound it off tackle guy. with Mendanhal healthy maybe we will get back to a solid running game. It was passing at the right time and when it counted. we couldn't count in rushing and and getting a 3rd & 2.
2008 rushing stats are not pretty. we ranked 9th in attempts but ranked 23 in yards.we ranked 29 in yards per attempt. we were held under 100 yards rushing in 10 games last year. we were held under 70 yards rushing 6 times.

from what I saw last night the line is not going to give us a running game this year either.

Re: top 10 current NFL qb's?

I know this might be the "homer" in me talking now but I'm finding it harder and harder not to move Ben up to #2 on my list. Peyton hits the panic button a lot and Brees is the best pure passer in the league but Ben once again proved last night he is top's in the clutch. Ben isn't the guy that is going to put up huge numbers all game (with that running game no better than it was last year he might have to start) but with the game on the line no one has had more 4th qtr comeback's than Roethlisberger over the last 5 years.

I'm keeping Brady at #1 because he makes fewer mistakes.

If Roethlisberger was so good, he wouldnt have to have 4th qt. comebacks, they would be running the ball, and be ahead of the opposing team.

Re: top 10 current NFL qb's?

they can't run the ball, see my post a few above this, it gives all the stats for what has become a non-existant running game.

I guess you don't think Elway was a very good QB either. He is one of the BEST 4th qtr comeback qb EVER.
