Its ridiculous that I have to get so worked up about VT. I got so ****ed at that fumble because Bama NEEDS VT to win.

It pains me more than you'll ever know to have to root for VT to win games.

To be honest, no it didn't. That's what gave the final score, but it's not his fault they couldn't even put 20 points on UNC. They need a qb and an offensive coordinator.

    Re: Unc@vt

you mean a QB who is first in the conference in passing efficiency and 10 in the nation (as of their last game at least...which is when i last checked)

QB isn't the problem...pass protection and off. coordinator are though

as far as Bob...I'd pump the breaks on sayin other teams suck when you're down in Knoxville counting moral victories as wins...what are they now 3-2-2?

    Re: Unc@vt

right now, VT and UT would be a dogfight. they are a lot alike as teams.

i dont think VT could run the ball on UT. alabama wasnt, and bama ran on VT.
but, bama had the little success they did against UT in the wildcat, shotgun read option set.

VT is very good at that, and could give UT major fits with it.

VT would have to beat them in the big play game, which they def. could. taylor could break a huge run, or williams could get loose and bust one, hes phenominal, VT's best player.

UT may be able to have some success running the ball on VT. UNC did, GT did, and UT has as good a RB duo as almost anyone. hardesty is such a tough runner.

    right now, if they played on a neutral site;
    it comes down to 6 players;
    eric berry/hardesty/dan williams v. tyrod taylor/ryan williams/worilds
i think UT wins by berry making a big play.

Nice to see you back right in time Drew. That kid ****ing sucks and anybody saying anything else is a ****ed fool. Is that really something you want to brag about, pass efficiency when he's been over 50% completion 2 times this year? I guess you noticed but Georgia Tech is also in the top 10 in qb efficiency. You ****ed your pants when that kid commited and I knew it then and said it, he's not a qb. He's a wr playing qb. He'd only completed 69 passes this year. With that running game and that defense (even though they were pretty bad at the first of the year), the 2 biggest obstacles they have are the two I mentioned before. Stienspring is a joke and Taylor is not a qb. Below are his top 10 passer efficiency numbers for the year.

9-20 against Bama for 91 yards
9-19 against Marshall for 161 yards
12-27 against Nebraska for 192 yards
4-9 against Miami for 92 yards
22-40 against Duke for 359 yards
8-12 against BC for 206 yards
1-7 agaist GT for 51 yards
11-23 for 161 against NC tonight

    Re: Unc@vt

    **** thats terrible.

i knew his passing stats werent good, but those are pitiful.

he runs well outta the QB spot, and can make big plays with his feet, but he wont beat you having to drop back and throw. he just isnt able to.

    Re: Unc@vt

a big part of that is VT being in the 100s in giving up sacks...the OLine is horrid in pass protection, but very good in run-blocking...I like that we're bringin in TEs and more athletic linemen but we need guys who are more heady and can pick up blitzes and stunts better

3 Soph and 2 Fr as your top 5 WR also has a lot to do with the sacks and drops...he has 9 TDs and 3 Int's (one of which was a hail mary at the end of a half, the other 2 were tipped balls at the line) and 1,200 yards...plus the added dimension of his legs with 3 TDs on the ground

MILES ahead of last year, and next year he should be even better...Stinespring sucks, he's awful, and been awful for years...but Tyrod isn't even questionably a problem for this team

I realize I took a shot at your team Lung, but no reason to make it personal

    Talking Re: Unc@vt

    UVa. - 16
    UNC - 3

    VT - 17
    UNC - 20

    SO if UVa.>UNC and UNC>VT, then UVa.>VT
If this faulty football math would just work on Nov. 29.....
